I see this fight going the same way a lot of the pros in this article do. Nog's going to stand with Mir and punish him for three rounds, once he knows Frank is tired and hurt, he's going to take him down and pound him out or submit him.

I'm guessing this will happen by the 4th or 5th.

I think when you look at the fight on paper Nog is clearly the favourite. Even if you call it even on the ground the concensus is Nog's stand-up is better and he has far more endurance than Mir.

However it's a fight and anything can happen.

They'll have to get an oxygen tank for Mir if by some miracle he makes it to the 5th round.

Anyway, the pros are right, and pretty much the only people that predicted Mir are "rooting" for him or most likely his friends.

You're just a cook...

Good one to bet on

While I consider Nog the obvious favorite, Mir really strikes me as an unstable virtuoso -- the kind of guy I'd place a small bet on due to the huge odds. I think the 4 pro votes he got (in this post) reflect the sense that Mir has some hidden talent waiting to emerge. Most likely not, but he has it in him to win this.

I love watching BJJ matches and so hope that this will turn into a ground war. If that happens, I don't care who wins....just hoping for MIr though.

So if Mir wins will it be the biggest upset in UFC history? Serra beating GSP was pretty huge, but judging by the fans and fighters, could this be bigger?

It might be...I never thought about that. The impression is that Nog is better wherever this fight goes.
