there are such things as adrenaline junkies! i mean, anyone who skydives...

but i don't think adrenaline alone is the reason why people fight, i mean, honor, testing oneself, and lots of other reasons. but, if you ask any fighter, i'm sure they'll mention the rush they get from the fight!

I do agree that the fighters are not messed up before a fight, but you say it wouldnt make you fight better well Pete Rose ( if you dont know who he is, his is the all time Hits leader in the Baseball and one of the best players ever to play) came out about a month ago and said that he used to play the games on speed. So he obviously did it for a reason, so idk how it would help in mma but if it helped Pete idk why it wouldnt help a fighter

Even in if Pete was on speed, playing baseball in the 70's is a lot more slack than MMA. I mean he was an outfielder, chase a couple of balls run the bases and you are done. Playing 2 back to back games as an outfielder would not be as strenious as 1 round of MMA.

i just don't equate mma and baseball. mma requires so many more quick responses and hairpin moves, that i don't see how being tweaked on speed would help you concentrate and focus. speed will get you to run fast and hit a baseball though... just not setup an armbar from beneath top mount while a guy is raining elbows onto your nose...

Yea and so many others...Like Lawrence Taylor he was a crack head!

No drug addicts in the UFC...no one would fight on that big of a stage while high. Trust me they would get overwhelmed, have heart palpations, freak out, look terrible, and lose in the first few seconds of the fight. Vicodin or something maybe....but not pot alcohol crack speed or any of that shit. I think Shonie might have been on something in the Quarry fight, and it showed, and is a prime example of why no one wants to get ****ed up before fighting a highly trained mixed martial artist.

hitting a baseball requires beyond quick reflexis, not saying that speed would help a fighter but baseball requires quick reflexis. and Pete was the one of the best hitters of all time

This thread makes me laugh... can you imagine fighters
On meth - hyper twitching and itching?
Or on heroin - doin' the nod?
How 'bout Marijuana... hey dude let's not fight - you got any pizza?

No drug like those would be considered enhancing and baseball and MMA are so far apart in the sports world!

"There was further controversy when Ross Rebagliati, the sport's first gold medallist, tested positive for marijuana. The IOC announced that he would be stripped of his medal, but that decision was overturned by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, primarily because marijuana is not considered a performance-enhancing drug."
