Liddell's next opponent could be Shogun

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell is on the comeback trail. In his last fight, Liddell suffered a knockout loss to new UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans.
Now, Liddell is preparing for his return to the Octagon. He had openly spoke about wanting to face Keith Jardine in a rematch. Jardine defeated Liddell by decision in September of 2007.
UFC President Dana White quickly shot down that possibility.
“It will not be Jardine,” said White.
As far as potential opponents for Liddell, White tabbed two fighters as options.
“If (Mauricio Rua) Shogun defeats Mark Coleman in Ireland, it could be Shogun — or it could be Wanderlei (Silva),” said White.
Liddell’s return will take place on March 7 in Columbus, Ohio.

He's not fighting Jardine and Wandy is suspended until February so he can't fight in March so Dana says that if everything goes well in Shogun's fight with Coleman we could see Liddell vs Shogun in March probably to co main event or main event of UFC 96 depending on how UFC 93 goes.

At this point, I'm taking Shogun. Don't really care how good he looks against Coleman, Liddell just hasn't looked good at all.

Honestly Chuck was a bad match up for Shogun back when he showed up but idk anymore. Shogun has nasty kicks and Liddell has issues with kicks.
Unlike against Wandy Chuck can't score points by taking Shogun down because Shogun will sweep and submit him.
I see this as a hard match up for both fighters at this point in their careers.
Would be a huge win for Shogun though.

Is it possible for both fighters to havae an unfavorable matchup?
Shogun is a bad matchup for Chuck.
Chuck is a bad matchup for Shogun.
I look forward to this one, and i think it's appropriate considering where each man is in their career.
