Fedor is undoubtedly the best HW in the world, no question. He would run through almost everyone in the UFC, and although Brock and Mir present interesting matchups, i think Fedor beats them comfortably too.

As far as PRIDE vs UFC, it's true that the fighters in their heyday from PRIDE are getting older, but since the integration i think it's proved something that i have always thought. The top PRIDE guys and the top UFC guys are interchangeable. They are not better or worse than each other; they more or less share the same level. As others have said already, you have to look at it on a case by case basis....the fighter himself as well as the matchup.

I do think that many PRIDE fans had them on another level back in the day, but it's hard to make that argument anymore, and i think that line of thinking died along with PRIDE itself.

Demian Maia may be the Fred Astaire of jiu-jitsu, but it’s too bad Silva is the Gene Kelly of kicking everyone’s ass.

PRIDE fighters are getting older. What a BS! Cro Cop is kinda old, but the others are still young. Wanderlei and NOG are 32, Chuck is old and he lost, Hughes is old and he lost, Couture is old and he lost, the newcomers are relatively young and please don't say that everyone who has come from PRIDE FC automatically aged once they crossed the US border. I say BS!!! Wanderlei built his career in PRIDE because he wasn't able to compete in UFC, then he was kiiling japanese mid-fighters and became popular (as Cro Cop) and when it was the time to come back and show what he can do in UFC, he fails again. And if Wanderlei were to stay in Dream, he would continue to be "the best", that's basically the meaning of the thread, not UFC vs PRIDE at all..

Favorite fighters:
1. Badr Hari
2. Remy Bonjasky
3. Mauricio Rua
4. Anderson Silva
5. Alistair Overeem

WTF? The idea of the post was that the fighters hasn't aged as many people said they did. You proved my point of view that fighters are the same as they were in PRIDE, and I don't see what you're trying to say at all.

Sry I will edit, first sentance was meant to be in reference to whole thread. Otherwise yes, I agree it's just younger/more adaptable fighters taking over. Nothing to see here, it's been the same since the dawn of time.

Unfortunately for Fedor if he came to the UFC and did anything other than dominate his debut would be seen as lackluster, which is taking nothing from him at all.

The fact is, Fedor has been put on such a high platform (deservedly so), that if he came over and faced someone like Kongo and he didn't win first round with relative ease... even in victory he would be defeated in a way.

My point is, I do not believe Fedor is hype, I think the man is a monster that would be the UFC champ within three fights, but I don't think it would be an easy road. Competitionwise, or reputationwise.

Having said that... my god do I wish he would come over!

Does everyone forget that the reigning UFC middleweight champ and Dana's P4P Best/Favorite was from Pride too? Not to mention the other silva.. wanderlei happened to join pride after losing to Tito Ortiz in the UFC? Wandy was originally a UFC fighter not Pride

Five Faves:
Rampage
Fedor
The Spider
The Super Samoan
The Axe Murderer
