PRIDE FC's ultimate fighters

Well, before UFC 92 I thought that fighters that came from PRIDE FC were more prepared and they were most likely to dominate in UFC, but NOG and Wanderlei were practically annihilated. So it appears to be that Quinton "Rampage" Jackson is the last man standing who wasn't the best in PRIDE obviously, but right now he's TOP. But my point is that maybe even Fedor Emelianenko wouldn't be able to be as unstoppable as he's been in PRIDE. I mean Fedor fought NOG 3 times and he wasn't able to stop him, nor was any other fighter actually, but Frank Mir emerged from ashes and surprised everybody. It's like a UFC curse for TOP PRIDE fighters: Cro Cop (1-2), Shogun (0-1), Wanderlei (2-4), NOG (2-1, but he was really stopped). Right now I'm starting to think that Fedor wouldn't last long in UFC... What do you think, are my thoughts correct?

I think Fedor would survive in the UFC, but he might not be champion. The UFC is so heavily favored towards wrestling it's almost, well, stupid. MMA should involve a MIXED form of martial arts and be judged accordingly. IMO wrestling is too heavily favored by the UFC for anyone without a wrestling background to compete and win at the highest level.

Now everyone is going to say "Anderson Silva". Well I say let Anderson Silva move up to 205 and fight higher level competition than The Sandman I'm not saying there are no good wrestlers at 185 in the UFC, but I am saying there aren't any wrestlers GOOD ENOUGH at 185 to beat Anderson Silva. So all I'm trying to say is: In the UFC you can win with just wrestling. I mean just taking your opponent down and controlling them like in a wrestling match. This should be changed. If that changed then yes, Fedor could compete and win a championship in the UFC.

I would say he still would dominate. The mans an animal. After lesnar beats mir (which i think he will) give him a couple more fights, than bring on the last emperor and we shall see who the biggest beast really is.

When Chuck was top of the UFC, he fought in pride and got beaten up. I think switching orgs really changes a lot of things. It shouldn't but it does. Plus time changes a lot of things. It's not like the old days where a fighter can dominate for years, now they rise and fall, and repeat pretty quickly. Nog sucks because he lost to Mir? Does Mir suck because he lost to Vera?

That is one of many things that can effect performance. Other fighters are giving bad performances and getting older etc.

UFC and PRIDE fighters can be narrowed down more, the top MMA fighters.

Chuck lost to a better fighter. He fought Quinton in both UFC and PRIDE FC, and the result was exactly the same. Jackson is better than Chuck... + styles make fights...

There are not many wrestlers in MMA that are better than Dan Henderson... Silva destroyed him

Did it ever occur to you that those fighters are all getting older now and MMA is evolving?

Plazz and BBJD said it perfectly in the Aoki wants BJ thread.

Alot of fighters lose, alot of the UFC fighters have gone to Japan and lost, but your fact is only highlighted by the fact that PRIDE was deemed the #1 organization and now is no more.

Chuck is 1-3, Hughes is 0-2. I think it has way more to do with MMA evolving quickly the last few years and a lot of the older guys being left behind.

It's not a PRIDE/UFC thing IMO. And I'm not sure why people have to bash Japan everytime a fighter is overrated but when a fighter who spent his whole career in America is overrated it isn't that big of a deal.

Hell, even alot of the old, not so known greats are falling off too. Pulver, Sato, Mishima, Sylvia (arguable), they's be falling off too.
The former top UFC guys are going downhill too (Chuck, Sylvia, Hughes) so why aren't you saying anything about them either?
