Tito hadn't fought in about a year. His last fight was a split decision win over Vitor Belfort. When he comes back to the UFC , Dana White gives a three fight contract. If he wins his first two fights he gets a shot at the belt. When I heard this I thought they were going to give him people like Babalu or Alessio Sakara. His first match was Forrest Griffin. Even though I like Forrest I thought he would get manhandled by Tito. The first round supported this theory. I thought as Forrest went into the second round he would get taken down and Tito would get the TKO vitory. Tito couldn't seem to be able to take Forrest down in the second round and Forrest was striking Tito pretty good. The same thing happened in the third round and Tito limped away with the split decision vitory. Then Tito's next match is against a legend who should have retired after he fought Kimo. All Tito would have to do now is beat a guy who is 12 years older than him and he was now ready to fight Chuck. I don't see the logic here.

I kind of see your point, but who else at 205 is more deserving of a title shot at the moment? The LHW division needs some serious buffing up. I wish A.A. would drop down to 205!

Yea I see what you guys are saying just looked at all of the fighters in the LHW division and if Chuck beats Tito again he could possibly be champion until he's 50.

i agree tito did get a title shot way to fast he has done nothing to desurve this shot. now im a huge tito fan but they are feeding tito to chuck no way in hell is tito ready for chuck i dont think he would take babalu at this point

same agein with forest he barley won that fight the last takedown won him the fight

then he beats shamrock twice here is my point since vitor whats he done he fought forest and STUGGLED and forest is no were near ready for a title shot and he beat shamrock who not only is old and past his prime but was fighting out of his natural weight class

Tito hasnt lost since he faught Chuck last time, he desrves this match and he beat some solid guys in Belfort, Shamrock, Forrest, Cote..Noone else can really challenge Chuck besides The Huntington Beach Bad Boy!!!

he's got his title shot based on two factors. 1) his reputation, it's all he has really since he's way too overrated! 2) dana knows that not only the fight will draw huge from the generally ignorant UFC fans, and that if Tito wins, he'll be a much more vocal and flashier champ that iceman, which Dana is prolly getting a huge hard-on just thinking about!!!

it's just all proof of marketing!
