Sokky and Tito are legit wins...Thiago Silva has wins over cans named Houston Alexander and James Irvin and gets more respect then Machida mainly because he is not afraid to mix it up. I can't wait for Machida to embarass Silva, but I am sure we will all forget how highly we ranked Thiago after that in order to downgrade yet another victory. Tito and Sokky were both considered top 10 LHW's before they faced Machida.
Wand and Chuck are a weird case, they were the top dog for a long time, then lost a couple, then Chuck beat Wand, who beat the guy that beat Chuck. Not deserving of a shot though i agree, and if they lose again, they should be out for sure. They're only there because they were so dominant for so long. Residual effect that is about to wear off imo.

Tito and Sokky? Thats subjective, but Tito hasn't been ranked in a while, and Sokky, while scoring two quick KOs against 2 good opponents in Pride, hasn't panned out to be the player we thought he was....and is no longer ranked.

Machida needs to beat Thiago, and one other ranked fighter. Same goes for Thiago too, he needs to beat Machida and one other ranked fighter.

Demian Maia may be the Fred Astaire of jiu-jitsu, but it’s too bad Silva is the Gene Kelly of kicking everyone’s ass.

I agree that he should, but I think Machida is ready now. I think the winner should get a title shot. Because I think that if I feel like Machida is ready now, then it would be unfair for me to think he should get a title shot with a win but Thiago shouldn't.

But the LHW division is so weird right now. I mean everyone seems to be on the same level. Put every one on their best day and you got like 7-8 legit contenders.

It is the only division without clear separation, but one more dominant win and Rashad may change that. (unfortuantely)

If Rashad can decisively beat Rampage, then as much as it pains me....i think that would cement him as the best fighter at 205. He already is technically, but Rampage is looming ominous.

As far as Machida/Thiago go....if they get a shot thats fine with me really (i wont love it, but theres worse things in the world). We'd at least get to really see what they have against the best.

Machida is very good but seems to lack the killer instinct.
Wonder if he considers fighting more of a job than a passion.
