Dan Miller vs Jake Rosholt at UFN 17

http://www.mmaweekly.com/absolutenm/...7919&zoneid=13

Quote:
A change has been made for the upcoming Feb 7 UFC Fight Night card in Tampa, Fla as MMAWeekly.com confirmed late on Wednesday night that Dan Miller has stepped in to replace Alessio Sakara in a middleweight match-up with former WEC fighter, Jake Rosholt.

The news was confirmed to MMAWeekly.com by sources close to the fight, and while it was reported that Sakara has been pulled from the bout, it is unknown at this time the extent or nature of his injury.

Dan Miller, much like his brother Jim, has never been one to turn down a challenge on short notice. He first debuted in the UFC defeating veteran fighter Rob Kimmons, only to return just over a month later to fight and get a win over Matt Horwich in an exciting fight at UFC 90 in Chicago.

Now Miller steps up once again to face another tough opponent in Jake Rosholt, who will making his UFC debut.

The former Oklahoma State wrestler is still currently undefeated in his MMA career and made his WEC debut in November winning by TKO over Nissen Osterneck.

The bout between Miller and Rosholt is likely to remain on the undercard of the show featuring a main event between Joe Lauzon and Hermes Franca in a lightweight battle.
I'm thinking about crying I got one of my favorite prospects facing one of my favorite Jersey guys.

However Miller should win this. If Rosholt outgrapples Dan Miller then I'm underrating his grappling because Dan has some serious submissions.

This match up really depresses me.

I agree very similar in fact Rosholt and Gray train at the same place so we have two Xtreme Couture vs AMA fight club match ups.

Now I will say Rosholt is a better pure grappler and wrestler then Gray but Gray has better stand up and is more of an MMA fighter.

I am sad about this fight too. I was expecting Jake to steamroll Sakara, but this match-up is going to be a big challenge. Not an easy first fight!

Have to say Dan Miller has looked pretty impressive in the past. That was a great fight at UFC 90. I've only seen rosholt fight once, so I don't really know what to expect when Miller puts on the pressure.

Because either Dan wins and probably the most promising fighter I had ever seen early in his career loses or my boys from Jersey take a loss. That's why I'm not happy about this E-Thug. Although it will be a fun fight to watch.

It's also a pretty bad fight for Dan because he's already 2-0 and still hasn't fought someone with any name value in the UFC.

Im just busting your balls man.

quite the change up in the fight though, ya go from fighting Sakara who he wouldve more than likely took down and beat on to Jim Miller, a good grappler wit some serious submissions...A big step up.
