Bisping Breaks Down Franklin Vs. Henderson, Picks Franklin
Quote:
"I wanted one of those two guys cause their two of the best in the world, and probably No. 2 and 3 in the middleweight division," Bisping told MMAWeekly Radio recently. "So they're the guys I want to fight. There's idiots on the Internet that say I dodge good fighters and this and that, and that kind of annoys me a little bit and that's why I want to fight these guys."
...
"I've been watching that fight very closely," he stated. "I think it's a fantastic fight. I think it's definitely got the potential, apart from the fact that it's in January, I'd say Fight of the Year."
...
"Rich Franklin is probably the smarter fighter out of the two. I think he's got better footwork, probably more technically composed fighter. Dan's got great knockout power obviously. They're both fantastic fighters," Bisping commented.
"If I had to pick a winner, I'd probably go out on a limb and say Rich Franklin by decision, to be honest."

This is a really hard fight for me to pick and I was leaning towards Franklin by decision cause I don't see him finishing Henderson.

I'm thinking Hendo by TKO, GnP style.

You could pick either fighter to win and it be logical. If Franklin wins it will be a UD, If Hendo wins it will be a UD or possibly a (T)KO, leaning towards a UD more so.

I find it funny that Bisping wants to fight either of these guys because they are probably the no. 2 and 3 MWs in the world...
Yet this fight is at LHW and Franklin has zero interest in that weight class at this point. Yay UFC!

If Franklin wins, the MW division loses.

This fight is damn near impossible to predict... I think Hendo can take it.. but we're talking about Franklin here. GOD! I'm just going to watch the fight and see how it goes.. I'll cheer and whatever.. but I love both of these fighters equally and this has been a dream match of mine for a couple of years.
Also dream matches.
Hendo vs Chuck
Franklin vs Jardine (To see how he deals with the awkward style)
Hendo or Franklin vs. GSP would just be dynomite.

uh...i don't think it has much potential of being fight of the year at all....dan has a very inactive top game, but the wrestling to put it on the ground in the early round(s). rich picks his shots well and dan basically has one good punch that he doesn't set up well....
rich continues to evolve his game while dan, skillwise, has been stagnant if not gotten worse over the years

If another one of the "unfinishable" (see Hunt and Nog) gets finished again then Armageddon is coming.

Here is the thing about this fight, at MW Franklin owes all and Hendo is inconsistent. At LHW we haven't seen how good Franklin is I don't consider a win over a washed up Shamrock to be greatness. Henderson on the other hand is awesome at LHW and usually looks his best there. You want prove look at LHW Hendo/Rampage and MW Siva/Hendo. Henderson has the tools with his wrestling and killer right to beat Franklin. While Franklin has the skills it will be interesting to see if he is able to utlize them. I am leaning towards Henderson b/c I don't he is as stupid as Bisping says he is. Look at the Palhares fight to see what Dan can do when he sticks a game plan.
