yep triangle. Plus you can do a move no one else does. Punch him in the face he can't really defend himself well if hes in a triangle.

you can still pull off the vulcan nerve pinch when you are caught in the triangle because you have that arm in there, you are at risk of the straight armbar when you do it, but if you land it its over. other than that the triangle is pretty money..lol

Arrow No Joke When You Lock A Choke!!

Have to say that a well executed triangle is the most beutiful move in MMA, but I believe the RNC is most effective move to finish opponent's!

all im saying is getting the rear naked choke isnt that easy. you have to get someone back first. everyone trains to protect their back. because they know once they give it up they are in a huge amount of danger. the triangle on the other hand is a move from the back. so you can jump guard and go for it, or you can be taken down and go for it. you have more opprotunities to use than you do with the rnc. also the triangle is a great move to transition from. you can straight armbar or choke if you sink it, aswell as punch hammer and elbow strike to their exposed face. or you can transition to an oma plata, or armbar, and sometimes you can sweep to mount. imo you cant get more effective than that.

Yea, I get your point, but from all the times I've seen fighter's attempt to lock a triangle-the majority of the time the guy escapes! That is due to the rules-no Gi so after a short while the guys start to sweat and that makes it more difficult to pull off arm-bars and triangle moves. I understand about the different moves you can execute from the triangle and guard position, but again I have seen alot more RNC's in MMA than triangle's, and another reason why I thnk that is, is because we see alot of wrestler background fighter's and stan-up dominant fighter's who-when they get in the ring with an experienced ju-jitsu guy and they can't dominate them with there skills and tire out the RNC happens when a fighter get's their back.
