Belcher planning a move to LHW

Alan Belcher: My goal, is to become the best fighter in MMA and definitely the best striker. I think I’m getting closer at becoming the best striker. I’m looking at that belt though. I’m starting to get the confidence and realizing that it is actually possible for me to become champion so I’m going to start coming after some guys. If the UFC is cool with it I wouldn’t mind going up to 205 and getting a couple fights in there.
Cory Brady: So you’re considering a move up?
Alan Belcher: Oh yeah. I would definitely fight Rich Franklin or Dan Henderson at 205. It would be interesting just to take a break from cutting weight. I want to stay busy and keep fighting a lot and it would make it a lot easier if I didn’t have to worry about cutting weight all the time.

I don't really get this because what could Belcher do at LHW? He has more of a chance at MW.

Belcher really might be the most overconfident fighter in his skills in MMA.
This guy really thinks he's a top notch striker and he's not even close to that.

no offense to belcher but this guy needs a reality check. its one thing for bj or gsp or anderson silva whoa re at the top of their game, or even alves franklin type who are # 1 contenders to be talking about moving up, but cmon belcher, get one win over a top 10 fighter before you even START to think about moving up.
maybe say this AFTER you tko kang. now hes gunna look like the biggest idiot if he loses tonight

I think he's talking like a man possessed...I can respect that. Go get em Belcher. Beat Kang today and then I will start paying attention to the words.

This reminds me of when Charles McCarthy fought Michael Bisping. He was saying some out there things as well and ended up retiring after Bisping beat him. It might become a trend.
