I don't particularly like Mir, but he seems pretty spot on.

Lesnar's chin hasn't been tested yet. Judging by the Couture fight, he doesn't like getting hit in the face and will likely make mistakes when trying not to get hit, a bit like Semmy Schilt.

I think Mir may win this one as well.

I may actually be picking Brock to knock Mir out in this fight. Mir's confidence has gone up ten-fold since beating Nogueira, and while it was a great performance on his part, he shouldn't have so much faith in his stand-up.

Brock is not taking Mir down and vice versa. I see Mir (finally) testing Brock's chin for a couple of rounds, throwing combos and leg kicks to his body, which will make Brock nervous and sloppy. From there he can either take him down and finish it on the ground or (T)KO him. Just how I see it.

Now granted that I got into the MMA game around the time where Mir was hurt. Now correct me if Im wrong but Mir was never really impressive standing up. And with his logic 1 fight with you having excellent striking (against a man that later on was found to have a staph infection) is not enough to say that you are going to win a stand up battle. I mean in fact up until the showing he had that was his weakest aspect. I do think Brock is an underdog in this fight but for Mir to feel this is going to be a walk through is crazy. He says it wont be easy but then he says that he will dominate in all areas, standing and on the ground.

I think theres not many ppl that lesnar cant take down at will but what will he do after. He pretty much threw the kitchen sink at herring but still needed the decision.

he kinda reminds me of that brazillian guy hat could take the fight to the ground but coulnt finish for love nor money...cant remember his name.

Sonnen On the spider
If he wants to leave the division, leave the sport, who cares, Beat it, nobody tunes in to watch him anyways, and his little fake I dont speak English.

That's exactly what I was thinking, and said. I'm hoping Mir doesn't take that win to his head. Although Lesnar's chin hasn't really been tested, it won't matter when Lesnar hits you with a quick, powerful right. The guy just has unnatural power, you saw what he did with just a jab.

But if it goes anywhere near the ground, I have to believe that Mir will find a way to submit Lesnar. His mind is always racing with opportunities, and Lesnar, with his inexperience, might make another mistake.

Not only that. If he gets on top of Mir he'll most likely get submitted again. Mir says it in this interview:

Quote:
"Obviously he can out wrestle me, but it's kind of like, okay, pick your poison."
IMO Lesnar won't even try to go to the ground against Mir, too dangerous.

Mur's ego has exploded with the win over Nog. If he thinks he is going to have a stand up fight against Brock like he did Nog he is going to get his face caved in like Herring did. At least Mur is being honest, he cannot take down Brock.

Im still picking Brock winning via round 1 tko due to strikes.

Im still holding my hopes that Brock submits Mur, but I doubt that will happen. But it would be epic because Mur is the bjj black belt and Brock probably is going to be a purple belt going into this fight.

Mir seems to be thinking that Lesnar isn't going to get any better. Take Lesnar vs Mir I and compare it to Lesnar vs Couture. Lesnars striking improved greatly, his MMA wrestling actually got better, and while he seemed to be gassed he kept going at Couture's pace which is no joke. Mir also is talking about weight difference, 20lbs may not be alot because he was dealing with guys who would stop eating donuts to make sure they made weight, Brock is coming in 20lbs+ of muscle. I think Mir will probably test Lesnar's chin, and unless it is made of glass shortly after Lesnar will test Mir's again. We saw what happened last time when Lesnar tested his chin, it failed, and you can't really improve your chin.

mur is so smug I hope he gets his stupid face smashed in.I laughed when it said mur thinks he can beat brock standing.Brock is going to keep knocking him on his ass until the ref stops it.Brock will not charge in with the hammerfists until mur is gassed, and believe me, that wont take long.
