Baroni positive regarding UFC return

“I’d like to be fighting in the UFC. Its where I think I want to be. Fighting for Strikeforce is pretty good and so is Japan but I just want to be back on the big stage and not be a journeyman anymore,” he told Fighters Only.
“But I cant really sign with a big show until this ProElite bullshit ends. Its really crappy for us guys signed to ProElite because we can’t sign a multi-fight deal with another show until we see what happens. Hopefully by April I will know.”
Baroni is one of a number of fighters that have been left in limbo following the demise of ProElite and its MMA promotion EliteXC, and he is frustrated that he cannot move on with his career until his legal status is resolved.
But he says he has a good relationship with the UFC, having been in the organisation at the start of the Zuffa days, and he is confident that something can be worked out if he can shake of the ProElite contract.
“Its one bridge I managed not to burn so I hope I can get back in there,” he explained.
There has been “a little bit” of positive news coming from that quarter, he added, but his contract status means he cannot engage in any meaningful talks at the moment.

I really don't get why they would bring him back, I think he would be good for the WEC but not the UFC.

Here's the thing Phil...you are a journeyman. You haven't had a meaningful win in years. Decades? FFS Dana, please don't make me watch Baroni fight in the UFC.

I dont even think Baroni has a chance in his next bout in XMMA never mind what a top tier UFC WW like Fitch, Alves or GSP would do to him.

Let him come to the UFC! I'd love to see Josh Koscheck beat the living crap out of him.
