Hughes thinking about Retirement!
I heard Hughes has two more fights left in his contract then after that he plans on winding down! What are your thoughts?

If it's true then that kinda sucks because if he beats GSP then his last fight on his contract is gonna be the TUF4 winner... So that means no rubber match with Penn
Do you have a source for this?

The article says that there is a possibility that he could move up in weight go fight Anderson. If he does get past St. Pierre, I think it would be great for him to move up and take on Anderson, win or lose, and end it there. I would love to see him fight even more, but if he doesn't want to fight anymore he should stop.

hey, nobody can stay dominant, and stay on top forever! i don't blame him for wanting to get out while he's still on top! no way for his legacy to be tarnished then by sticking around and picking up unneccisary losses!

He will loose to Pierre
Then hopefully a rubber match with Penn which he would loose too
Then He would beef up a bit to loose against Anderson Silva
Unless he is going to keep fighting loosers like the TUF people...Matt hughes doesnt have that much going for him anymore. I think Sanchez could give matt a good run for his money too!
I think he should retire to keep his record if that is what he wants to do. He has a lot of victorys and has dominated the UFC...but I just dont like him
Hes boring! haha

He should retire then come back. That way everyone wins. Hughes can ask for a massive paycheck...His fans will only count his record BEFORE he retired and hte hughes haters can say "see he sucks".

Sounds like a hall of fame ending to an impressive career. Provided he gets past GSP who I pick to win by ko in 2 rounds
