Matt Hughes: retiring?
Undeniably, Matt Hughes plans to play out his final matches and most likely, end his career with UFC. Is Matt past his prime? Should he end his extraordinary record early? personally, I think he has a lot more fight in him, but who knows?

There's already a thread up about this. I'd say there's not much more for him to accomplish other than a defeat of a much deserving GSP and maybe a P4P farewell bout for the title against Anderson Silva.

Ya as much as i'd like to see him fight Anderson Silva, he does owe BJ the rubber match.

a Lotta guys do good for a while and lose, So I Don't buy into the he would've stuff...
as far as fights go. certain guys give other guys a tough time & fits, bj is that guy for hughes....
Who knows what happens saturday or in the retirement talk?? I Just think that bj beat hughes then pulled a money ploy, disappeared, came back, Got Beat!!!! I Think he's gotta fight others now to earn a title shot at whoever is there if he earns it....
Hughes & gsp?? If hughes is to lose, IMHO He gets a Immediate shot at a rematch, if gsp losses, I think he has to fight others to get another shot, Let's say bj & gsp?? as a start to another title shot at the title holder?? whomever it may be...

I really have no interest in that fight since Hughes is talking retiring and I prefer the best fights on his way out.
