Lyoto "Pillows In My Hands" Machida..

First of all, I'm extremely excited about Machida knocking Thiago out. I'm a huge Machida fan, anyone that knows me or my posts knows that I have always supported Machida. I said Machida would TKO him, Thiago is just too aggressive.

This thread is here for two reasons:

For the Machida fans happy for the W.

For the Machida haters that said he has no power/is overrated that wish to admit they were wrong.

From both sides, comment away.

I've been a huge Machida fan from day 1. I don't see anyone in the LHW division that is a bad match up for the man. He will do as he pleases.

I think alot of people on this forum need to man up and admit that they ate alot of crow tonight.

One of the sweetest victories in a long time. Not just because it was awesome, but just because ALOT of people ate their words.

Very impressed with Machida tonight......I honestly think he'll beat Rashad in his first title defense and then lose to Rampage after that.

I dont know why anyone would think he has NO power. I think its more simply an issue of his "elusive" style that means he isnt going to throw a lot of strikes, and when he does they will be very calculated.

Honestly, this fight was extremely dominant and convincing. I thought Lyoto was good before, and I thought he had a real chance at the title, but now I'm 100% convinced he is the best fighter at LHW.

People can whine about his fighting style all they want, but the guy doesnt get in trouble, and the fact is like it or hate it, it gets results.

In a real fight, people should be modeling Lyotos style of elusive fighting. Most people dont have a strong chin, and its not particularly to most peoples advantage to stand there and duke it out with people. If you get into a fight, take your shots when they're there, and stay out of harms way. Self defense streetfighting really should emphasize this kind of strategy.

I'm officially now a Lyoto Machida nuthugger.

Werd, I almost had it, but a straight KO will suffice.
