How come Rampage/Jardine gets title shot before Machida?

Not quite sure I understand the thinking here. If Rampage beats Jardine that means he gets a title shot just 2 wins after his title loss. And Jardine has a win/loss/win/loss style record......if he wins, is he gonna fight his buddy anyway?

So how is Machida behind these two in the title shot line?

I agree i don't think Jardine should be anywhere in the title contention. I also don't think that Rampage should get a shot after just two wins when Lyoto has been deserving of a shot for several fights IMO. And after his brutal destruction of Silva last night i think he showed he's not just out there to out point people.

From what I read on mmajunkie it was that if Rampage wins then he gets the shot, but if he loses then it's Machida. Jardine isn't in line for a shot at all.

Oh, and the reason why they are waiting for Rampage to win is because Rampage = PPV buys.

This is bullshit. No way Keith Jardine even deserves outside consideration for a title shot if he wins. No way. He gets mauled every other fight. I wouldnt be as pissed if Quinton gets a shot because he kind of deserves it but I think its painfully obvious to anyone who really follows mma that Machida needs his title shot. As long as he doesnt have to fight again before his shot I am fine but he has won like 6 straight fights now in the UFC. That equals a title shot.
