Yes, but what you're failing to realize is that same assessment can be used for ANY fighter, "Watch out for the underdog", "underdogs always have something to fight for", now since you can use this for any fight, why even bother bringing it up? We're comparing the TALENTS of the 2, not "Well he's the underdog" blah blah.

Silva-Good striker. Questionable ground game.

Lutter-Mediocre standup. Good ground game.

Hmmmm, you need to go back and re-read my post if you think I'm just throwing out the "He's the underdog" statement.

No one is saying Silva is bulletproof.

You might want to search these forums.

I love how since the majority of the fans are picking Silva to win that all of a sudden means he's "unbeatable", dude stop putting words in peoples mouth.

Again, you need to re-read my post. I also picked Silva, but of course you ignore that.

People are making accurate assessments on how the fight might turn out, judging from the fighters TALENTS, not "the underdog" angle.

Accurate assessments? So, basically ignoring Lutters ground game, and praising Silva's questionable ground game is accurate? The hilarity just writes itself there.

So throw that underdog shit out of the window and talk some MMA, please.

Yikes, I make one comment about the underdog, and you twist & turn it into something totally exaggerated. Again, the hilarity just writes itself.

I just want to say, to the person with the Homicide name and signiture, you are a badass for Homicide. I've been a fan of his for a couple years now.

Also, Lutter's gonna have a much better chance that Cote would, obviously. Leben outstruck Cote fairly well, and we all know what happened with Leben and Silva. I can't wait to see Silva fight again, and I'm gonna make sure I educate myself and watch more of his fights.

Lutter probably saved Cote's life by winning that fight.

Cote vs Silva would be a disaster. Lutter will fair better but not much.

Easy defence for A. Silva.

FunkDoctor has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Silva questionable ground game?!

Wow, some of you guys have no clue.

You do realize he has his BLACK belt in BJJ under the Nog brothers?

Lutter has NO advantage in this. People don't realize that Silva has ground game just cuz they saw him pick apart the UFC's top MW strikers with ease. Silva by domination; yet again.

yea funk...for some reason people think silva has a questionable ground game...

Just because about 90 percent of people here likely have only seen the Lebel vs silva and the franklin vs silva fights. Where he just showed his excellent striking and dominant standup ability. Just because he got submitted by some people who arent considered amazing amazing fighters doesnt mean he sucks on the ground. Everyone has their good days...even cans. Besides they were Pride cans...which are still better than most UFC fighters anyways! hahaha

The only thing Silva has subbed people with were strikes.

Silva's takedown defense is suspect. He sure defended Chonan's heel hook didn't he? How about Takase's triangle? That Silva, he's such a whiz on the ground.

Silva's bread and butter is his standup, and his ground game will continue to be questionable until he's taken to the ground. Him getting his BJJ blackbelt with the Nog's doesn't really mean that much, because it's about how you execute your gameplan.

Besides they were Pride cans...which are still better than most UFC fighters anyways!

Typical tiring Pride nuthuggery. Lutter would have no problem laying on top of Silva for the decision. Would it be exciting? Certainly not, but I can also see that happening.

WHAT!?!?!?

GETTING A BLACKBELT IN BJJ DOESNT MATTER?

so some random joe with no experience in anything can take him because his Black Belt given to him by one of the best BJJ guys in the business means nothing... I guess they just hand them out with out thinking about their reputation. Everyone line up for your Black Belts in BJJ ONE DAY ONLY! First come first serve! Only 50 thousand up for grabs!
