Anderson Silva vs. Travis Lutter

Lutter made quick work of Cote! Now he gets to face Anderson Silva for the title! Can Travis Lutter get Silva on the ground and submit him or will Silva knock him out?

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

I think Silva will dominate him if it's standing but on the ground it's a different story, if Lutter can get him on the mat and submit him he could walk out with the title but I can't see that happening.

lutter could win but to do it he has to get the fight to the ground. I think he would fall victim to knee's to the nogan.

Has anyone watched the last few Lutter fights? His takedowns are slow and sloppy. If he wants to get Silva to the ground he has to be A LOT more aggressive or he will eat some knees.

By the way, if he does get Silva to the ground, people are already making assessments Lutter can submit him easily...yeah, he CAN submit him, but it won't be easy, once again, Silva is no slouch on the ground.

Lutter will most likely get KO in the second round. He has a chance tho because he is good on the ground. But I just cant see him taking Silva down often in the fight.

lutter does the same thing with all his takedowns. left jab and then try to get a takedown with side control and it looks slow and telegraphed every time but maybe he has the strength to do that. i believe if he gets silva on the ground he will submit him.

Why do you think he can submit Silva?

Because Silva is a chump on the ground. If Lutter gets Silva to the ground, forget about second attempts, third attempts, maybe even fourth attempts. No, if Lutter gets Silva on the ground it'll AUTOMATICALLY result to a submission, plain and simple.
