This just makes me more frustrated and confused as to why affliction pays 3 - 4 mil for a SINGLE fight (fedor-arlovski) when one of UFC's premier cards pays out a flat 1mil TOTAL.

they paid arlovski 1.5mil for his first round loss. they could have paid him 500k to show with say a 250k win bonus and it still would have been *leagues* above the UFC. I dont understand the rationale for going so goddamn over the top??

thx for the info tho pipe, i enjoy seeing what goes on behind the scenes of the mma world. repped.

Im at a loss to explain Afflictions fighter pay. The only thing I can think of is that they get some/all of merchandise money off fighter. i.e. all money made from Arlovski Affliction shirts goes to Affliction?

Affliction pays like 5x as much as UFC. That is good to see but I think they take it a little overboard and would be more successful if they tonedit down a little bit and I would lie to see the UFC pay a little bit more.

This does not include the PPV revenues... make you think why affliction fighters get paid more 'up-front' instead of show/win/plus PPV revenue.

Man, GSP dudn't get paid much at all does he. One of the most popular fighters in the sport, everyone knows who this guy is. I want to see him making Chuck Liddell money.

I'm sure after PPV cut and other crap he clears over $1 mil a fight.

Demian Maia may be the Fred Astaire of jiu-jitsu, but it’s too bad Silva is the Gene Kelly of kicking everyone’s ass.

Also Fitch is only getting 34k? Make that shit at least 50 Dana, come on. Karo shouldn't be getting more than Jon IMO. Any word on the bonuses?
