Al-Turk is a solid control grappler not a submission guy and when you have no takedown skills being a control grappler is worthless.
i just found it interesting that you wanted to see kongo against a grappler...cuz his last fight was against a grappler

i don't mind this fight really....it'll give kongo more time to improve his td's and tdd so that when he fights Nog or Mir he'll beat them...

besides kongo stand up is overrated unlike hardonk high level kick boxing
He got ****ed up by Eddie Sanchez and almost lost. Kongo should have no trouble keeping him at bay with reach and controling him where ever the fight goes. This is the perfect match up for Kongo. He should win in convincing fashion

Ok that's a fair point I want to see Kongo against a good grappler. Or a wrestler either one works. Neither has to be well rounded if he was still at HW I would say Jake O'brien would be good enough to prove it too me. But I still see Kongo as an above average striker with powerful GnP. But bad defensive wrestling and a bad ground game.

May I quote you? bbjd a month or so back
"I don't buy into Kongo personally and think he will lose to Al-Turk.

Kongo has some good stand up and his takedowns are okay but that's all I've seen from him.

I think Al-turk takes him down and pounds the crap out of him."
So you thought a guy with no takedown skills and bad grappling was going to take Kongo down and pound the crap out of him? Sounds to me like you didn't decide he was a bad fighter until AFTER he got destroyed. Typical and not suprising considering all of your Kongo bashing in the past. You even try to take credit away from his win over Cro Cop.

Find my other posts where I say Al-Turk sucks but I thought he could get him down.

I said Al-Turk sucked like 50 times before the fight so nice try.

I don't have to "try" at all. Anyone familiar with you around here already knows you're full of it. Can you atleast admit Kongo has tdd?

Kongo does have some TDD. Now idk how good it is because it hasn't been tested by someone with good takedowns but he is better then he used to be when fat ass Assuerio took him down at will.

You also cut the part out of my post where I say that Al-Turk isn't very good at all but his takedowns were better then Assuerio which is why I picked him.
