Well I don't see how this could be a bad thing for anyone. Having Rashad as a training partner for BJ didn't make all that much sense stylistically either, but having top level training partners makes perfect sense. Kenny/Mark are smart enough to create their own game plan for this fight, and I'm sure that stand-up is a major factor.

I will definitely be pulling for Kenny, but I wouldn't put any money on him. Hopefully training with GSP will improve his explosiveness, I'm sure it will improve his cardio. Don't forget that we are probably 4+ months from this fight, so it's not like he's training with GSP full time.

As long as Kenny doesn't try throwing like fifty Superman punches during the fight, training with GSP will probably be helpful.

I actually see Kenny winning this one but not sure how. I dont think BJ can go five rounds getting beat up, but Ken-Flow wont put a whoopin on BJ they way GSP did... I still see kenny winning this in the later rounds when BJ gasses; its official BJ has poor cardio, its REALLY official this time... Kenny cant put the strength on BJ they way GSP did so not sure how BJ's conditioning will be in the latter rounds. BJ might of left all he had in the cage after the GSP fight. Kenny is so hungary to beat BJ and i think that will be the determining factor...

How so? What makes you think BJ's got poor cardio at 155? Just cos he gassed at a higher weight with the best WW in the world pushing a fast pace against him doesn't mean he's gonna have bad cardio against Florian.

I like Kenny but he's going to be up against a focused BJ Penn who was humiliated in his last fight. Those who think BJ wont show up in shape at LW are underestimating a very talented fighter. It's hard to get the images of GSP beating on BJ without mercy out of my mind, but I don't see Kenny doing that. He has a good chance by keeping distance and using his kicks but BJ will get him against the fence and take him down. Again im very excited for this fight and I like both of these fighters alot.

Favorite fighters:
BJ Penn
Nogueira Bros
Anderson Silva
Lyoto Machida
Demian Maia
Andrei Arlovski

In addition to training TDD, Kenny can take a page out of GSP's book and try to wear out BJ on the fence. That's how GSP got things started, after all.

Ken flo can train with Bruce Lee in his prime it will still make no difference. The fact is there is no one who will beat BJ at 155 and kenflo is no exception. I hope he does train with gsp and use that as a promtion so BJ makes an example out of him. I like KenFlo but i realisticly see him as fourth in the division behind sanchez and sherk and i feel the only person who has a genuine chance at beating BJ is Sanchez. Goodluck to Kenflo tho, i hope he does train hard so its an exciting fight
