Kampmann vs. Condit - Who wins?

How do you guys think these 2 match up? Condit is very well rounded and Kampmann is very tough. It should be interesting to see if Condits' success carries over to the UFC. I am picking Kampmann in this fight as I think he has fought the tougher competition but who knows? Let's hear your opinions.

Condit has fought against good competition. No one has lasted with him. I think he will push the pace and win in the 2nd round by submission.

Woah WOAH WOAH!!!

Are you saying that Kampmann hasn't faced good competition? Leites, McFedries, and Rivera as wins then he lost to Marquardt (badly too unfortuantely).

Condit only has wins over Larsen, Allessio, Jensen, and Miura to count and none of those guys are that great.

I think Kampmann will be very dangerous. This has stand-up war written all over it, and I will take Kampmann if he cuts right.

How can you call McFedries and Rivera good competition but say that Larson and Alessio arent that great? I am not saying Condit has faced tougher comp but I would say they are at least comparable.

As far as the fight goes though I think Condit takes this whether it stays standing or goes to the ground. I think Condit will make a huge impact on the UFC WW division.

Gonzaga vs dos Santos - UFC on VS
Vera vs Jones - UFC on VS
Bibs vs Hansen - Dream 13
GSP vs Hardy - UFC 112
Gomi vs Florian - UFN 21
Nelson vs Struve - UFN 21

I say Alessio is not that great because he has lost about 1/3 of his matches and he hasn't beaten anyone significant. Larson is alright, but still not beaten anyone all that good.

I hope your right that Carlos takes it, but my money is on Kampmann because Carlos size won't be a problem and his striking probably can't hurt Martin too bad either. Kampmann has a solid chin.

The only thing that worries me is that I have never seen Kampmann at 170. I don't really like the fact that they matched these two guys up against one another mainly because i really like both fighters though.

Well, I think this fight is going to tell us whether Kampmann is actually a very good kickboxer or not. I mean, I agree that he will most likely want to keep the fight standing and if he can't outstrike Condit then Kampmann might have a tough time beating any of the top guys. Also, Kampmann does have a good ground game so even if Condit takes it to the ground he may not be better there either.

Too many unknown factors for me to make a call here. I am leaning towards Kampmann simply because he won't have as much pressure on him, but who knows.

Should be a very good fight, I have to go with "The Hitman" here. I'm just not a big fan of Condit. Plus I think these weight classes that are being brought into the UFC have no idea what they are in for. Anything LW or heavier in the WEC is truly the UFC minor leagues, and I expect most of these guys are going to learn that pretty quickly.

For the record, I think the is a much better Fight Night main event then the most recent.
