should bj have fought hughes one more time before dropping down

i figured he would drop down with the lw div getting so big. so i wasnt surprised about that. i was surprised about how that he wasnt going to wait until he fought hughes again. i guess he doesnt want to wait. if hughes wins this weekend then he will probably fight in feb matt serra, so bj would have to wait til like march to fight again.

Who says he will not?

After BJ works the LW for while I am sure he will want to take Matt on again.

From BJ's web site "While BJ congratulates Matt on his victory, he looks forward to the rematch to continue forward with his dominance; as the fans have seen in his victory over Matt at UFC 46 and the first two rounds of UFC 63."

haha i know.

Sherk is dead

He sucks anyways..and is a lay and gayer just like Tito and Hughes...so itll be good to see him loose the belt too!

BJ is such a better athlete than Hughes...and I wish his rib didnt dislocate...he would have won. but this just makes it sweeter for GSP to own Hughes.

At least if this stuff starts happening, we might have some decent champs to represent UFC if the Pride vs UFC thing actually happens.

I would much rather have the following defending UFC against Pride

LW - BJ Penn
WW - GSP
MW - Anderson Silva
LHW - Liddell
HW - Monson or Aleks or AA

At least that sounds like a somewhat talented championship roster!

Unlike what we have now

Sherk (gay fighter)
Hughes (not as gay, but still a gay fighter)
Anderson Silva (Awesome)
Liddell (Really good)
Sylvia (Pant Shitter)

LOl i hope you dont mean Matt when you say Shrek lol.

Of course BJ should have stayed and tryed again. As much as i like Matt, I could see the next fight being closer as Bj was kinda of unlucky really.

I'm pretty sure BJ probably wanted to fight Matt again but its all up to Dana who fights who. And if he wants to get back in his winning ways the best thing is to drop down of course. I can see BJ beating Sherk, I don't think he will make the same cardio mistake again. All in all I hope we see a rubber match

i dont think his cardio will matter at 155, those guys better look out for the prodigy. you know he is going to come back to that div fired up. sherk is gonna get demolished. i wonder who they will have bj fights before he fights sherk? or if dana will even make him fight anyone. ken flo would be a waste of training for bj. there isnt any clear # 1 contender. they should do a tourny to see who is #1 cont kinda like they did before.
