im an avid sportscentre watcher and every once in awhile they'll show a couple highlights if something happened in the ufc the night before.

but do you ever think it'll get the time of day that hockey/baseball/football gets highlight wise?

just like everything else, its all about what most people watch... if it gets as popular as any sport, then of course there will be coverage.. or if theres another hockey lock-out ... i heard they were so out of ideas that they started to cover fooball and darts tournaments lol.

as cool as it woudl be, i would say no, since even with boxing most of the time they are only allowed to show clips of the fights....i hate that, i wanna see action....and i dont think ESPN would be able to do that for UFC

lol, they had extreme rock paper scissor tournaments!

Mac Danzig and his bird feeder once visited the Virgin Islands. They are now The Islands.
Mac Danzig can kill two fighters with one bird feeder.
Superman owns a pair of Mac Danzig bird feeder pajamas.

Doesn't ESPN hate MMA? I heard they still view it as "The human version of cockfighting".

I'd love for MMA to get coverage, but I don't think it'll happen anytime soon. Maybe in 5 years, maybe.

they will show highlites ....but espn (TSN in Canada) show so much poker, darts and bowling it is a joke...can not believe that people watch that stuff on tv...and the worst thing is they get huge ratings with poker...i though these were sports stations....poker is not a sport it is luck ,luck luck...if I get the best cards and go all in every time i can not lose...i mean i like poker with the guys once a month but come on attempting to say its a sport...how much athletic ability do you need to throw chips in the middle of the table...maybe a little tendonitis from playing so much or big butt itis from eating nachos while playing

Watching people play poker is like watching paint dry. I know some people enjoy it, and I'm not bashing them for it. But, I just don't get it. Playing it however, is a different story.

i just thought of something else... say ESPN does begin to cover MMA... well, will they only cover the UFC, ignoring PRIDE and other events? i don't expect them to cover all the smaller shows around, it'd be impossible, but if they ever report on the UFC, they better as hell cover PRIDE. otherswise you know they are just getting paid to talk about "MMA/UFC"!
