A KO punch requires more than just power. Rashad's punch was absolutely perfect. Great timing, incredible speed, perfect placement, a lot of power, and an exposed Chuck. That punch would put any human being to sleep. Rampage did not KO'd Chuck with one shot. He landed a shot as Chuck was moving out and it tagged him as his chin was sticking out. Chuck fell, and then Rampage landed a series of blows that Chuck couldn't recover from. Thats not a one punch KO. But Rampage is the hardest puncher in the LHW division. I'd say that Wandy definitely hits harder than Rashad though.

Rampage says a lot like that Irvin is the hardest hitter at 205. I don't base a lot of things on what Rampage says.

Dan's power is good but he doesn't finish many guys to be honest. Wandy hits amazingly hard He finished Fujita not that long ago.

I think Wandy can take this fight. Franklin's loopy jabs and hook are no better than Wanderlei's brawling style.

We all know that Wanderlei is going to show up in great shape and he'll push the pace hard.

I'll take Wanderlei by TKO round 1

This is pretty much exactly how i feel. I was hoping wandy's next fight would be against a mid level 185'er just for a bit of a warm up. They are feeding him to the dogs with Rich, but at least they are putting it at a catch weight. So cutting shouldn't be too much of an issue. It's a tough situation for both fighters. I mean they both are extremely hungry to get back to the top.

Add up that hunger to the fact that they both train like maniacs and this could be a war. I'm leaning towards rich winning this though by using his technical striking and keeping distance. The key for Wandy is gonna be to close that distance while taking minimal damage. If he can do that and get Rich in the clinch then all bets are off. So again i'm thinking Rich takes this, but i'm hoping Wandy will win.

O and Davisty69, bbjd7 said Wandy hits as hard as almost anyone at LHW. Then you said he didn't have as much power as rampage and Evans. Who have arguably the most power at 205. So waht i'm saying is those guys are the "almost anyone".

So...
Rampage is fighting Jardine
If he wins he'll get Evans
Liddell is fighting Shogun
Franklin is fighting Wandy
Forrest has a broken hand

So what's left for Machida if Rampage wins? Vera or Coleman? Or will they ask him to move to HW for one fight?

cool fight....damn this card rocks.

i think rich is still getting better...whereas Wanderlei is getting worse...

however, as bjjd said, wandy is good at countering kicks...and rich doesn't have the power to turn off wandy's lights...

glad i have time to think about this one

Maybe James Irvin does hit harder than anyone else Rampage has fought? How is your word more valid than his, seeing as he's actually been punched by these guys?

And Wanderlei couldn't knock out Chuck Liddell, while Rampage did. Does that mean Rampage hits harder than Wanderlei then? There are a lot of factors when evaluating punching power, it boils down to where the punch lands.

I'd say Fedor punches harder than Wanderlei, yet he didn't knock Fujita out because he didn't land on the button as cleanly.
