I wonder why goldie said that on Saturday then. Unless it is one of those things that are still in talks, but not set in stone yet. We all know Hughes Penn 3 would have happened no matter if Penn dropped down for now or not.

Penn VS Hughes 3 will happen sooner than we think most likely.

If Hughes looses on saturday...he has 2 potential rubber matches.
If St. Pierre Wins - that leaves Hughes VS Penn 3 to decided who fights GSP for the title.

I think that makes sense anyways.

good bj would wipe out the lw div. i wanna see him finish his beefs with gsp and hughes. bj has three possible fights left with those two. and one with dirty sanchez to actually get his title shot again.

Why would BJ drop down to 155? He's not strong enough to beat Sherk. I think that he'd make it a helluva fight, but I can't see him winning. I'd like to see him fight someone good at 170. Maybe Diego Sanchez?

I Say screw that. If Hughes losses saturday night, he gets a rematch with gsp RIGHT AWAY!!! no fighting anyone else, Hughes gets a rematch, period....

Now if hughes wins?? then I Don't know what dana white will do but I think penn - gsp should fight each other right away to maybe see who might get a shot a Hughes again, that is After Hughes fights someone else, then maybe either gsp - penn get their chance again....

Anything can happen though, but if Hughes wins - bj - gsp DON'T get another try right away, If hughes losses - He GETS a shot right away because he was the champ for a long time and he EARNED that right....

Now I Gotta tell ya, I don't see it with bj, he does'nt have the drive & determination IMO, gsp obviously does and it shows, but all this penn, could've, would've, should've, is getting old!!!!! He Did'nt and until he does more I Don't think he'll be as successfull as gsp will be and to reach Hughes's heights, bj will have to become a fighter with an attitude & drive, which I don't think he has...

BJ penn is a wrestlers worst nightmare. He would own sherk with his awesome flexibility and BJJ. He has better stand up and is the best in the business off his back. Penn by sub definetly

Agree Sherk could possibly win a decision via lay-n-pray but more than likely he will be submitted for the first time in his career by BJ Penn. It would be a tough fight for BJ though.

Sucks a little he's no tgoing back down to 155 like we thought. I kinda had my heart set on that, bu oh well. At least now I get to see him destroy Diego, and get his rematches with GSP/Hughes.
