I think he should have gotten one more chance to prove himself before they gave him his walking papers.

Here's an idea: lets take one of the most exciting MW's and not renew his contract, then spend x-million dollars on a show featuring not one but two guys Loiseau defeated. Then never put those guys on anything but dark matches.

The thing that gets me is that the two guys he's lost to recently--Franklin and Swick--are both top-notch MW's. Even if Loiseau isn't one of the best few MW's you still need a guy like him to test up-and-comers against.

And for the guys saying Loiseau isn't impressive: he took Franklin to 25 minutes and showed a hell of a lot of heart in that fight, and then he took Swick to 15 minutes. Two of the top-three MW's and neither of them could stop Loiseau.

Plus Crow has a win over Even Tanner a little over a year ago. If Tanner gets to come back (after getting stopped by Franklin and Loiseau), the UFC is hypocritical or, at best, ass-backwards.

Also, as everyone knows now, the UFC doesn't pay for shit, so it's not like they're trying to save a lot of money by not renewing him.

Loiseau played punching bag for 25 minutes. I mean, yea, he can take a beating, but how's that impressive? Running away from your opponent, and getting your face caved in are not good strategies.

There's a difference between Loiseau vs Franklin & GSP vs Mayhem Miller. Miller was able to try different stuff, and survive by sheer will & determination. Loiseau ran away from Franklin countless of times, got punched, and did absolutely nothing. Loiseau hit that one good shot later on, but didn't capitalize. He choked in the Franklin fight, and in the Swick fight. He needs to go and prove himself again.

that is what I hate about the UFC. Anyone can go at anytime, and unless you are Matt Hughes or Rich Franklin and you lose a couple of fights in a row, then you are gone. They push the fact that no fighter is perfect and that everyone loses, but if you want to stay in the UFC, you basically can't lose more than one fight. Total bullshit.

Good Point!

Does anyone really knwo for sure that it is all Dana's doings? Or are their other people/ factors involved? Anyone know for sure, or just assume it is all Dana since he is the one that is up front all the time?

Being a Canadian Boy, I root for L'Oiseau, but he hasn't shown anything too impressive in a while. His elbows are always a dangerous weapon but after those losses to Mike Swick and Franklin he needs some re-tooling

It's his own fault. He had his chance to come back and redeem himself against Swick, he came in unmotivated and put on a piss poor performance.

I'm sad to see him go because he was one of my favorite fighters, but he put himself in this position.
