Rampage said before, that he can not throw head kicks.

I thought Joe's comments were resonable. Jackson is the one becoming offensive now IMO, with his comment about rolling around on the floor.

He could use more tools in fights. His sytle works for him, but in this MMA game, you need to evolve or you will get eaten.

Sooner or later, someone is going to come a long and murder him on the ground. That IMO is one of his main weaknesses and many fighters capitlize on weaknesses obviously.

Looking at his record he is obviously doing great so far, so only time will tell.

Oh, okay. I've personally never heard or read him say that. Anyway, it was kind of a joke.

I don't hate to say that I do love Joe Rogan. First off, yes, he is absolutely biased toward BJJ, but ignoring that, the guy does know what he is talking about. I agree that it sucks to have every schmuck in the bar yelling at Rampage to check the leg kicks, but that is a serious hole in his plan, and if he goes up against someone who is going to throw them more, and harder, than Forrest, I see Rampage eventually being stopped by leg kicks. As for his hands, I think whoever said it best when they said he does NOT have great boxing. Not even close. The guy does have some NASTY power in both his hands, but I agree his head movement needs improvement, and he could stand to circle rather than move straight back. As for Rampage being pissed at the quote, suck it up. He did acknowledge that it is a MMA fight, and he can fight however he wants, but I think he would, without question, be a stronger fighter if he changed his style a little bit. I mean, you don't have to become a Sambo champion, but throw ONE kick every once in a while. While on the stand-up subject, did Rampage throw one body shot? I think not only is he one-dimensional with his stand-up, but he's even one dimensional with his boxing (i.e. always going for the knockout on the chin). I think Rampage is a great fighter, who is still evolving, but he needs to realize there are people that know alot about the sport who can actually help him. He should take the comment as criticism and not an attack.

The thing is Rampage is right. American fans, especially UFC fans, care more about strikes than jiu-jitsu. Just look at the Spike/TV specials: Ultimate Knockouts 1, Ulitmate Knockout 2, and so on and so on. There are no Ultimate Submissions 1 or 2. I'm not saying there shouldn't or couldn't be, but as of right now, the average lay fans (which are the majority of the fans) care more about knockouts.

Let's see Rampage start checking low kicks before he starts using bjj.

Rogan was just making an observation, it is his job afterall. Not only that he is right, Jackson is 1-dimensional, he is good at that dimension though. No need for him to get offended obviously he can fight how he wants, Joe was just telling it like he sees it.

Telling Rampage that he needs to develop more tools would be like telling Chuck in his prime that he needs to do the same.
The problem is Joe was right and Chuck should have also developed more tools. Probably the most deceiving streak of all is Chuck Liddell's...he beat no one of note...and his style is and always will be one dimensional (relies heavily on the one big counter punch)

I actually like the fact that some guys are good at some things, some are good at others, and no one combines all elements of MMA perfectly in their fights. If everyone was great at every style and used them all equally, each fight would look the same and they would probably end up being boring as hell to watch. So keep your style Rampage, its exciting and its working fine.
