Why does'nt the UFC hold more tournaments

The Pride Grand Prix tourneys are the best. Spread it out over 2-3 shows, you get too see good fighters going head to head, as well as some crazy upsets. Tournaments in General are better.

Better off giving 200K to the winner of a 16 man tourney spread out over 3 shows the the winner of TUF

I agree, tournments would be nice to see in the UFC. A Open Weight tournment would be awesome, but unfortunately the Nevada Whatever COmmission would most likely not allow that anytime soon

They should come to Canada and do a huge open weight UFC and/or PRIDE tournament ! That'd be so awesome .

But I honestly don't know why they don't hold the tournaments anymore. Maybe like others said, the Nevada State Athletic Comission won't let them do it.

I think is has more to do with the fighters dana white would have to put up a huge chunk of change to get fighters to fight in open weight, and from what i hear the ufc dosent pay there fighters well at all ,i mean there pretty much in the same salary bracket as any mma org. if not a liltle better but i feel the athletes competing in mma deserve a hell of a lot more money.especialy in big organizations like pride and ufc.but it would be a huge pay day for ufc to have an ultimate tornament
