This isn't a disrepsect to the fighters, they can fight were ever they want :D

This is out to the league, and it's fans.

Recently i have started to notice that fans of the UFC are booing other countries when they fight. Lol people common, you should be paying them ALL respects to what they are doing for you.

1) Fans boo people they don't like, so it's has a comparison to wrestling.

There are a few champs out there who shouldn't have the belt, yes given they do but they shouldn't, which makes the viewers more eager to watch upcomming fights because theres a story line.

2) WWE has a story line! But if you think about it, these are fighters, and it's a sport, you dont need to see a story developing to like the fights,

Fighters in the UFC like to SLAM!! their opponents to the ground for a Knock-out, where a slam isn't really that effective, it's only effective if you land on the soft spot on your head. And besides UFC the only time I really see slams is because the fighter who is on the top and in the gaurd is usually beening submitted, which the guy on the top slams him to break the hold.

3) If your "finishing move" is a slam, it's really ****, why don't we bring out tables and chair and stop signs too!

Lastly, fighters shouldn't cause drama, theres no need for it, its a martial art, respect the other fighter and his ability to do what he's good at. A lot of UFC fighters start talking shit about their next opponent to make it have more drama, and theres no need for it.

4) creating drama!

If you look at my 4 points you can see that UFC is more like a WWE match up, then a MMA battle.

I still like the fights, but to prove what im saying, watch the GSP VS Matt Hughes, coming up, the fans will boo GSP, and they dont even know him, and it just proves my point even more.

Have respect, thats really what they are fighting for they aren't fighting in the UFC for money we already know that!

except for the tiny fact that the fights are real, the fighters are real, and nothing is staged.

the rest is to create drama and hype fights for the fans...why is this a problem?

That is the problem, they dont need hype, fans will watch the sport. Like Tennis, do you need to have drama between 2 tennis players, no their fans are going to watch it regardless, if you like the sport you like the sport!

It's not supposed to be about having hype and shit like that.. its about the sport and the fighters.

You clearly have NO idea what you're talking about.
Just like EVERY OTHER SPORT, UFC builds rivalries. So of course there is drama(think Yankees/Red Sox).

Maybe a few guys shouldn't have the belts, but bottom line, they won the fights that got them the belts.
(Sylvia, like him or not, beat AA and got it back, Anderson KOed Franklin, Chuck KO's everybody, Hughes has defended against everybody and Sherk clearly won his fight for the belt)

Oh, and if you think Pride is any better with thier silly entrance music and giant ramp, then go to that forum.

Dude, baseball is only really the other sport that has gay rivles. And the downside to creating stupid rivils, is that then the fighters are not just fighting, they are in there to hurt eachother, meaning they wont stop when they know they should, just because there are feelings now involved.

I clearly have no idea what im talking about, atleast i showed a good comparison.

And Pride with the ring entrences, what is wrong with that, they should be allowed to enter a ring anyway they want.

Yes but there is't a hype between the teams, it's hying the event, which is fine. Thats like UFC doing a promo for the next PPV event.

Alright I know you're joking. BAseball the only other sport with rivalries?
Hockey = Avs and Red wings among others.
American ootball = Seahawks Raiders, among others.
Football(soccer) = EVERYONE lol
basketball = Celtics Lakers, among others

Exactly, and by promoting a multi fight event, you hype the fights lol... You dont know much, do you?

it's flawed because no one is arguing any of your points. this happens in every single sport out there yet you seem offended by this for whatever reason.

HYPING THE EVENT is a lot different then HYPING the fighters. You need to think what you are saying.

By hyping the fighters, you creats people you like and hate, when you should have respect for the fighters because they are in there showing off their skill.

And like and disliking a team is differnt because you aren't directing your hate at 1 person, where as this you are.... why would fighters want to fight where they get booed? why would you want to fight someone when they are *****ing about you, and they dont even know you?

Im offended because fans are disrespecting fighters, and fighters are disrespecting eachother, thats not MMA, if you are going to call UFC an MMA league, then the fighters should be disciplined enough to have respect for eachother.

Ok, look.
If you have a MULTI team/fighter, MULTI fight/match event, you hype the different rivalries and different teams/fighters.
this happens everywhere, with every sport.
HOW CAN YOU NOT REALIZE THIS?

Not to mention MANY MANY MANY single sports people are hated. Hell I remember people throwing things and Jose Consaco(spelling?) and spitting at him.
Not to mention people beating fridges with bats and hating Perry in football.
So yeah, single people are hated, big time.

No offense, but yes it is MMA.
...and yes it most certainly is UFC, go rent the first 6 and tell me if you see ANY disrespect lol.
Kimo's camp talking crap and trying to right the whole Gracie camp, Gracie holding chokes and breaking arms after the ref called it, Shamrock acting like he was going to charge a guy after it was over the he was on the ground. O_O

Unfortunatley it's all about the "Benjamins", if it was to put more money in the fighters pockets I could withstand a little of the hype and drama that the "UFC" is trying to create (ala WWE Controversy creates cash) but very little of that money goes into the fighters pockets.

I hate hearing this also, the fighters don't have to be fighters. and as compared to other MMA organizations UFC pays pretty goddamn well.

Well one thing I do know is this.

Hype does get in the way of some fights that should happen. Hype sometimes ignites a series of USELESS matches that should never have happened...Example. Tito vs Ken...that shouldnt have happened EVER...i was ok with the first one becasue 1 fight doesnt matter. But 4! For **** sakes! Hype caused that bullshit...and nobody can say different.

Tito should have already lost to Liddell, and Liddell wouldnt have had to waste his time on sobral.

Bottom line, any good organization gives thier fans what they want. They did that.
