I agree he looks like an exciting fighter but the this last win and the Terry Martin win were sort of flukes. Stephan Bonnar submitted him. Stephan Bonnar.

He's constanly improvibng and he's an exciting unpredictable fighter. You never know whats gonna happen when he enters the ring. He's not A-class but he's got a lot of heart and he pumps up the crowd. He's much like Joe Riggs as in he's not champion material but he's an exciting fighter. You should watch some of his fights outside the UFC.

Whats so werid about him getting submitted by Bonnar? Bonnars a BJJ black belt so its not like he sucks for loosing to him. Swick was submitted by Bonnar so I guess that means Swick sucks aswell. for tghe record I really dont value the opinion of someone who has Matt Serra as there avatar... just kidding with you man.

You're right, he does have exciting fights. Remember that awesome flying knee KO? He left his opponent on the ground having a seizure . This guy is good to have around for exciting fights, but he's not championship material. A great underdard fighter; just like the guy in his corner, Scott Smith. I'm sure the UFC will only call on Irvin for some more stand up battles... unless he keeps winning, then someone will have to submit his asss again.

i was watching his leg kicks and thought geez i could avoid them - he was telegraphing every move. I mean the guy looks like a fighter but he just doesnt quite have the skill, im sure he will improve over time but.

I think he's exciting to watch, but his lack of skill is starting to become an issue. Honestly he looked like a rookie giving his back up so easily, and throwing those kicks so wildly. He now knows he is a decent striker he should be busting his ass learning BJJ and wrestling. I heard that he was trying to become a more "complete" fighter, but no such evidence of it this fight.
