I think they let beuntello go because of the way he looked, kind of flabby and out of shape (like another certain heavyweight fighter with who likes pantpooping). Plus, that fight that he did lose, he lost it pretty badly in like 16 seconds.
I don't know if beuntello doesn't train hard, or if he is just the type of guy who just looks out of shape no matter how much he trains, but if you look at the rest of the UFC besides Sylvia they all look like they train very hard.

I think that the matchmakers like guys that are ripped because it makes the sport look like it is fought by atheletes and not couch potatoes, and they are trying to get mainstream acceptance from the public and politicians.

I agree that they probably let Buentello go because of his appearance, but I'm still really angry. And his quick loss wasnt as bad as you make it out to be, in fact it shouldnt have been a loss at all. Buentello is one of the greatest most exciting strikers the UFC has had and they let him go. I think it was a huge mistake.

Dude, he was out cold before he even hit the ground, how can you say it shouldn't have been a loss?

We all seem to know the fix to the lame HW devision of the UFC, and Buentello would be a great addition, perhaps for TUF5? I doubt the UFC would let him go because of his appearence, their main concern is money...no matter who is the champ. It was probably some sort of contract dispute that got out of hand.
