gsp is fast all-around. while i'm not a fan of his (even though it was a beautiful sight when he pounded on hughes' face with those punches and elbows just before the ref stopped the fight), i was impressed by his abilities last night. he was always executing some kind of attack, which were all precise. even though i think it's bullshit when gsp said that hughes was the best fighter he's ever fought. penn gave him much a bigger run for his money. their fight went all three rounds and ended with a split decision. guaranteed penn will get a shot at gsp after he plows through a couple non-title matches.

Yea penn is amazingly talented. GSP vs Penn will always be a great fight. I hope they give Karo or Diego to Hughes next...I don't want Hughes losing to penn and losing his confidence. I think there would be a lot of interest in Hughes vs Karo and it's a good match, except for Karo's record.

he said that because BJ has never beat him... Matt has.. so in his eyes he is the best fighter he has ever faced..

GSP has always had a barage of kicks.. so i doubt hes influenced by Cro Cop... but god damn if cro cop started tranin with GSP shit would hit the fan

I would love to see Hughes v. Parisyan as well. I think they match up well for each other.

He said in the post fight interview he actually watched the gracie/Hughes fight for the leg kicks and got the idea to fake the leg kick from reviewing that fight...

Watching the fight on the computer, it would slow my comp down and I couldn't catch how fast he was.

He was reacting to Hughes' punches so quickly.

Thumbs up

GSP was sharp....razor sharp. His game plan was executed to perfection. I have been a fan of his forever and can honestly say I have never cheered louder through a fight than i did with that one
