Mashima probably got like 4,000 for that fight. Definitely, nowhere near 10,000 or 15,000.

Stevenson Is'nt that good.

and he looked like he was trying to get choked out, it's not like Stevenson beat him down and Mashida gave his back. Mashida took him down and stuck his head under Stevenson's arm, not once, not twice, or even 3 times,
4 TIMES

Stevenson sure has a hell of a lot more wins that Mashida.
Why don't you watch some Mashida fights before you comment on what he was doing looking funny.

fighters rarely get choked out in that position. I'm not trying to say Mashida would have won if he tried. all i know is it looked way too easy, and not by Stevenson bieng dominant.

If Mashida is really that bad, he has no business fighting in the UFC. They were hyping him like he was an exciting fighter

I have never watched a full fight, nor am I a Mashida "fan" but I did see the HL posted on this forum and I thought he would do alot better then that. Jesus Christ he was almost nuzzling Joe's ribs like "Psssst...Joe...pssst....you feel that under your arm pit? Yeah cool, that's the back of my neck, do not wrap your arm around it, I will choke."

I'm not saying the UFC fixed it, or that Stevenson even knew.

Rory was getting beat down, and gave up the choke instead of tapping, he gave up to avoid getting more of a beating. and there were no odds on Rory/Herman

Mashida was on top in a great position to do damage, and kept tucking his head under Joe's arm.

What about the jump in the odds, coincadance?

Who knows, Mashida made peanuts for the fight. someone probably told him to lose and gave him 40k. It's not like we would see this clown fight in the UFC again anyway.

I like this theory. That is a huge jump in points especially that late. Unheard of really. I really thought Mishima was gonna do better also. He has supposedly been training for the last 14 months because he was disappointed in his winagainst Charles Bennet. I counted 4 guillotine attempts as well. The last one wasn't even sunk in and he tapped almost immediately. Kinda wierd seeings how he had it in deep the first time and Mishima slipped out after a good 20-30 seconds of being in it. The more fights I see, the more I am starting to believe betting plays a big factor in certain fights.

whenever there are gamblers, there is always someone trying to beat the odds. Look at college hoops, boxing.

They always say desprete times call for desperate measures. All I know is Mashida is probably cashed up.
