A prime example of disrespect was during Mark Hominick/Jorge Gurgel. I've checked my DVD a few times, and I'm pretty damn sure the crowd was chanting "*****! *****!" while Hominick was accepting a close fought win. If someone can clarify that they heard this as well, that'd be great.

If you say so. I guess you cheer for the French during the Olympics then, huh?

If it wasn't you might as well be attending the ballet or something. It's competition and competition brings out raw emotion. I don't think it's a big deal, let the fighters have the final say in the octagan.
Amen sir, you have hit the proverbial nail on the head.

MMA is a sport built by fans, if the fans don't like something that is going on they are going to let you know it.
There is nothing wrong with that. If a fight is boring or something stupid happened, why should we cheer?
I couldn't agree more. If you whine because you say the people at the arena are just drunk idiots, then keep whining. Without those drunk idiots and more of them like that, you would not be on here complaining about anyone booing, because it would not be what it is today. So to the drunk/rednecks at the PPV fights, boo on so we can come online and whine about you being ignorant and still get to enjoy or boo the fights on our own!

I'd bet the ranch the average age of the posters who think booing is okay is around 17-18.

I actually love the patriotism between sports fans and their sports teams. Some carry it over board, but hey, it shows how much they love their country, and the sport they are watching.

How often do you hear booing at a Pride event?

good way of putting it

I think the people out there whining need to jump in the octagon and get there butts kicked...that is sooooo annoying, just because someone other then who they wanted to win won or something, they are a bunch of losers with no life and they need to see how hard these bouts are.

I went to a live KOTC match here in Canada and there was none of that. If you attend a live UFC event, please try not to be such an ass.
AAAHHH whatever, those fans pay a lot of money for tickets to UFC, long with travel expenses. So what if they want to be loud and unruly and get shitfaced? I'd probably be doing the same thing if I was ever fortunate enough to go to one.

I don't think booing is part of the Japanese culture anyway, they are too worried about offending somebody. Americans don't give a damn if anybody is offended so they do what they want.
