UFC Crowds Disgust Me...

Watching the ppv of ufc 65. What abunch of AHoles. It's like they have no idea of how mma works and they frikin boo everybody. That's not what this sport is about.

I went to a live KOTC match here in Canada and there was none of that. If you attend a live UFC event, please try not to be such an ass.

I couldn't agree more!!!! Monday, July 10, 2006 I posted this on myspace Blog:

I have something to say to the fans watching live at the Mandalay Bay who boo'd our GREAT fighters.

SHAME ON YOU!

What right do you have to boo at these amazing athletes... just because they may not look to you like they are doing anything - once they step into that cage they are on and in the zone and whether they are circling or clenching they deserve your respect - 100% These boys work very hard and are amazing at what they do and how they do it and they deserve the utmost respect from the fans.

Let me see you get your ass in the cage with these guy - then we'll see something to boo at - YOU!

To all the fighters - CHEERS AND RESPECT from me!

And the booing after - not true fans obviously.

Agreed. They're just a bunch of drunk idiots. They were booing so loud during Sylvia vs. Monson, I thought the crowd was going to turn into one of those euro soccer riots. I felt bad for the guys fighting, and I actually turned red just watching it on TV. Too bad.

fans are going to boo and cheer as they please at any sporting event, unfortunately you cant control it. Being a fighter, I know exactly what is going on and what is considered "boring" and what isnt. Perfect example, me and my buddy were at UFC 55 here in Connecticut, and the boo birds came out when the AA/Buentello fight was stopped in 14 seconds, but me and my bud were jumping out of seats like girls at an Nsync concert. Its the fighters mentality and common knowledge of the sport you have to have to understand the game, some people just dont have it (the boo birds)

Anyone who says that booing and stuff isn't part of MMA doesn't know shit about mma.
MMA is a sport built by fans, if the fans don't like something that is going on they are going to let you know it.
There is nothing wrong with that. If a fight is boring or something stupid happened, why should we cheer?

most of the booing occurs when the fight is on the ground because dumb drunk people that go watch ufc dont understand bjj and the skills it takes to work and submit people

A lot of booing is due to ignorance. Most of the people at UFC shows are retarded. I know because I have been there and they say shit and yell shit and have no clue whats going on. They're there for one or two big names, really they waste their money.

How often do you hear booing at a Pride event?

Retard typical ufc booing fan awnser.. Wanna see reel fan go in Japan during match u could here a bees in the stadium with like 40000 fan. and everyy time they see a good technical move the clap their hand. that a reel sign of respect of MMA. I saw the worse match ever in Pride it was freaking boring and all the fan didnt say any thing cuz they knew that getting kick or punch in the head for a living is not easy.. Booing a MMA fight is a completly sign of ignorance and retardness of a n00bish mma fan

It makes prefect sense. Pride isn't as mainstream (at least around my area since I've only heard of Pride from websites) so the folks who watch Pride are going to know the differences. Then you have UFC where its more meainstream therefore the crowds will tend to not appreciate submission and technical ground games as much. Everyone loves a standing game, but there are going to be more UFC fans who would rather want that than something on the floor. I can understand that, but I don't agree with it.
