I know GSP was guaranteed a minimum $40 000 but took home double for the win ... don't get me started on these ridiculously low salaries .... you know who has the link is Atom Danger, he found out for me last time

I'm surprised they settle for that low of a paycheck. The realityt tv show guys got 200,000 and all were brutal fights. Doesn't make sense to me.

Does anyone know if some of the fighters also get a percentage of the PPV earnings on top of their payout, something that wouldn't factor-into their salary right away?
And do contract fighters get additional money for signing and being under contract?

What reality star got 200k? They get a six figure deal, which is just over 100k over 3 years... And as for the TUF 4 guys, I don't know the terms there.
The "purses" are the only parts the UFC discloses.
GSP got 80k, 40k for winning and 40k for the fight. Hughes probably got more than that (as he got 150k for fighting Royce Gracie, who got 400k even though he lost. Lame.)
However, the UFC does not disclose what they get from the PPV's, and they never will tell us that. So that part is up in the air. Plus all fighters have various sponsorships that they get money for, having brand names on their trunks, T-shirts they come out to, etc.
GSP got a lot more than the 80k off of the fight I can guarantee you that. Not to mention Tapout gives 10k bonuses I think for submission of the night, and knockout of the night, so GSP got another 10k for that.
The biggest purses I believe for 250k for Couture V. Liddell, and somewhere from mmaweekly.com I read that they estimated the PPV cut to bring Chuck Liddell's total over 500k for that fight.

I dont know why you guys think $100,000 for a fight is lame. Of course i believe they should get a percentage of the total money made by UFC, but $100,000 for a fight isnt lame. That would take me many years to earn, and for them, thats without the spionsership and PPV money on top.
These are ref'd by pro's who's job is to stop them getting seriously hurt, hell id take $100,000 for a broken arm.
I risk a punch up every day in my job, and my job doesnt even involve violence...

Ah yes, but the contract is over X years (probably 3 like the other shows) and it increments. I'll dig up the article for hte exact numbers... it was something like X dollars for Fight 1 (X more if you win) then upwards of 15-20k for the next fight, if they win...) etc. etc. It never intends any of the fight salaries to be anywhere close to 100k for one fight.
Here's a piece of info about the top guys, this is from a newspaper article online (it's real I'm sorry i didn't cite it!!!):
"Kirk Hendrick, the UFC's chief operating officer, said top fighters like Couture and Liddell can earn up to $4 million a year.
"And we throw a lot of sponsorship money into their laps," Hendrick said. "We built this brand and without the UFC name, they wouldn't be getting that kind of money."
And according to that article, Couture got 225 and Liddell got 250 (of the salary money alone.) The PPV had one of hte highest ratings ever so believe they got cuts from that too.
