UFC In Montreal?

After GSP won the belt from Matt Hughes you could over hear him talking to Dana White. Dana told him that they were going to have a show in Montreal and you could hear GSP saying that was his dream. Did I hear it right? Did any one else hear that same thing or am I going crazy?

Heard it too.... probably sometime early next year, and he'll fight Serra I would guess.

It wasn’t Dana, it was Lorenzo Fertitta (as in the Fertitta brothers whom own the UFC). I did hear him say something like “how would you like a title defense in Montreal”? Then GSP said “Are you serious”? OH SHIT, THAT IS MY DREAM”! I don’t think it will be his next fight against Serra though, I have heard they already have UFC 67 booked in LV. So it will probably be the next time GSP fights after that.

oh i didnt know that, i pressumed they was going to do the Serra fight in Montreal if he won and it was planned. First defense of his belt in his country would be a money spinner IMO, unless its the next fight which i guess would be the rematch which would be a even bigger money spinner :P

Yeah, it’s actually been on MMAweekly.com rumors section for several months that UFC 67 has already been booked in Las Vegas.

If it is in Montreal it would get a lot of new fighters from Canada to try their hand at the UFC and could also help in their attempt to go to Europe. With the connection between french canadians and europe.
