Yah I didn't either, I just haven't seen it since the live PPV so I was afraid I might not of remembered exactly. But I'm pretty sure he pretty much ran at chuck flailing his arms while chuck just watched him and placed his punches perfectly on babalu's face. I was shocked that he made that decision but I've never been in the octagon with chuck liddell so it must have just done something to him ever since he ate that kick to the face. But he really is a top notch fighter, I look forward to seeing him again....i think Lister/Sobral would be a good fight (that just randomly came into my head), it would be a good come back win if he culd pull it off.

Ya . . he might have not tried to shoot as much as i thought but still I mean after all this guy did give shogun his first loss which says ALOT! But i mean come on we all shelled out around 50$ to see an upset or sometime of good finish cause of him winning 14 or whatever fights before that. . was just a big let down imo

I've watched it a hundred times. Babalu actually lands two good punches and gets chuck backpeddling. Then he rushed in and chuck hit him with that wierd forearm uppercut. Babalu was dazed but i think he thought if he pressed chuck he could maybe get in a couple more shots and then chuck planted him.

Exactly, he caught chuck a couple times and all of a sudden he thought he could knock him out (he could just not the way he tried). When he probably should of taking his time because chuck didn't seem rocked at all. But like I said it's one thing to just talk about it on the internet, it's not like we were in the cage. Babalu must have thought he was rocked so he tried to keep pressing, bad decision. Oh well he'll be back.

Yea, after he rocked Chuck, and he did rock him, that's when he should have went in for the takedown. Instead he got caught up in the moment and didn't think. Babalu always has struck me as kind of impulsive. After watching this fight it only further confirmed my suspiscion.

Babalu's a great fighter and one of my favorites. Anyone who doesnt wanna see him fight again is a crazy person. I really like the Babalu/Lister match up idea. I wonder if Dean would consider bumping up to fight him. He's better at 205 anyway.

I was curious about Babalu as well and ran across this in another forum:

"I got to train with him a few weeks ago at a Seminar and I asked him who "HE" wanted to fight and he said he's been asking for Rashad. But he also said he wasn't sure if the UFC would give him that, but he's been asking."

Yeah, same thing happened to AA in the 2nd sylvia fight. Then the next time AA was way too cautious. Hopefully babalu will be back soon. I'd love to see him and Tito go at it.
