UFC 66 vs. Pride Shockwave 2006

*Mods, if a thread like this has already been made please feel free to delete it.

Now here we have two of probably the most anticipated Mixed Martial Arts cards in the history of MMA. I was just curious what everyones thoughts were on which card you think will be the most entertaining..Personally I think Prides card blows the UFC's out of the water, so far they have 12 of the biggest names in Pride (and the world. I have never been more excited for a mma card in my life. UFC 66's is defintly one of the UFC's most anticipated cards, and I'm sure it will be great, but from my point of view it can hardly compare to Pride's. What do you guys think?

(Keep in mind although the majority of these cards are finalized they are still under the "rumour" section at mmaweekly)

Main Card Bouts:
-Chuck Liddell (#1 Light Heavyweight in the World)* vs. Tito Ortiz (#7 Light Heavyweight)*

i made a thread that is kind of related to this in general section, but not a lot read about it, i was talking about the sudden boost of cards when pride decided to enter US soil... anyways.

Just by the number of fights, shockwave is obviously overwhelmingly better than ufc66, but everything depends on who fights who. For instance, arona vs silva would be not so great, even if they are top 2 of pride. Griffin vs Jardine would probably be more interesting than that fight.. But in any case, shockwave is going to be the best card ever for a non grand prix event, no matter who fights who.

Jesus simmer about the rankings, they aren't mine. I stated in my post this is "mmaweekly" and it is there ranking system (I believe, because it's on their site MMA WEEKLY - Your #1 Source for Daily MMA News, Interviews, Multimedia, and More)

Anyways what ones too you disagree with? Just wondering. (I disagree with some too but it's subjective)

And yes Arona is not the most exciting fighter, but wanderlei is up there so it should still be a good fight. Personally I think it will be more interesting than jardine and forrest but thats just my opinion

Oh and thanks for fixing the name asskicker...I just got home and realized it when I walked in the door, I think it was because I was looking at the UFC 67 rumours when I made my thread...my bad.

Don't ***** this guy out, it's MMAweekly's rankings. Every serious MMA fan knows about MMAWeekly's rankings.

I personally see Shockwave being the better Pay-Per-View, but I think it would have been smarter to do Shockwave in USA rather then 32.
