In the first round, Matt tried back to back aggressive takedown attempts, and Georges used some super human sprawls that really made Matt look like a chump. It seemed like Matt didn't want to get embarrassed and be stuffed again on his best takedown attempt. GSP was constantly moving in and out of shooting range for Hughes. He neutralized Matt and made Hughes fall into his plan. We see a half-ass TD attempt in the second round, but meh.. Overall Hughes looked caught off guard by Georges talent and abilities. I don't think Hughes was expecting Georges to be that good.

You are right, Matt got "uber pwned" and GSP deserves all the credit in the world. GSP is a bad ass fighter. However, when these guys hook up for a third time, expect Hughes to come in better prepared with a different mind set & strategy and try to find a way to win. I'm not suggesting he will defeat St. Pierre, but I'm guaranteeing a much better fight. Remember when he lost to BJ, he came back like a maniac and stomped through the competition. Expect Matt to have the hunger back for the rubber match.

heres a post from a sherdog nuthugger lol

GSP isn't even close to being on the same level as Matt's. Sure he won the last fight, but who won first one? MATT HUGHES, THATS WHO!

DID YOU FORGET THAT MATT COMPLETELY DOMINATED HIM ON THE FLOOR AND MADE GSP TAP???

Matt has the one person on his side that really makes a huge difference....The Christian Lord. There is no better support than that. And trust me, when Matt steps back into the ring to regain his title, he's going to do just that, regain his title.

Here was my response...

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAahahahahahAHHHHHHHHHHAHA HAAH

from schz (sherdogger)

hah... *holds laugh*

that actually is kinda funny.

god will lead hughes to victory just like he did kenflo.

im not saying god exists or doesnt, i dont know and you dont know, anything else is pure faith combined with speculation.

what i can say for sure is that if god does exist, he does not get in the way of any type of competition. save to maybe protect participants from getting hurt.

but anything from wars to ping pong games to mma. god does not give victory to the one that prays harder, he sits down on his ****ing recliner with some doritos and watches, just like the rest of us.

The christian lord? Dude do you really think if there is such thing as God he gives two ****s about MMA fighting? You should read your bible a little more instead of acting like a brainwashed idiot and you'd realize how corny that statement sounds.

btw god isnt a person

I think one of the main reasons GSP did so well is the fact that he comes in and out so fast. And as for the nut shot, Hughes himself said it didn't effect him at all. The second hit was to the leg not the nuts. Did you guys checkout the press conference after the fight? It's pretty good, about a half-hour long
