Yah i think he just took this fight because he knows that he wont be able to get a title shot for awhile because of Serra getting one, so i am guessing that he doesnt wanna get rusty by going to long without fighting. The only guys they should be putting him up against right now though is either hughes or penn. Actually I think Penn should be fighting Riggs if anyone. He hasnt beet anyone since comeing back even he did fight the best he needs an easy win under his belt to get back on track.

I don't think so. I think its a good fight for him.
Plus it will keep him from getting too rusty.

Joe riggs has a lot more to win than diego does by having this fight, and i think thats bs. Diego should have earned his fights with better contenders.

If joe wins its puts him at minimal contention and diego at the back of the line.

I think people are underestimating the Diesel.
Joe can beat Diego by submission via Strikes (Joe won 4 of his first five fights this way), but lets be real: If Joe lands a solid punch this fight is over.
A little bit about Joe:
Joe retired young up and comer Joe Hammond. This was when he was fighting as a heavyweight.
Joe TKO'd the 240 pound Hammond, who has a little bit of a chin advantage on Diego (he's bigger and harder in the head)

In his UFC debut Joe (then a middleweight) made Joe Doerksen (current IFL star) tap out due to strikes. Doerksen currently has a 37-9-0 MMA record with some of his losses coming from very experienced guys (Loiseau, Marquardt and Lindland are all in there.
Doerksen was (up until Anderson Silva) that one loss on Leben's otherwise perfect record.

When Joe was fighting in Hawaii, he fought at an event called ROTC (Rumble on the Rock) where he handed the first career loss to a young, up and coming fighter. That fighter's name was Kendall Grove.

On top of that, competing as a welterweight in the UFC, Joe Riggs holds a record of 3-1, with that only loss coming from Matt Hughes. (it was also a fight he took on late notice)
Don't underestimate Joe Riggs. It will get you punched in the face.

Yeah, just because Riggs has lost a few times when he fought a few big names. But he is a very very talented fighter

So what do the odds look like for this fight?
I wanna take Riggs on this if he's the underdog, I'm sure he'll do well
