Second fight: Guillard v Fisher. I like both of these guys and this is going to be a war on the feet. I really do like Fisher, but Guillard is just incredible. He's definitely improving from every fight, and he's training with Team Punishment, so he's going to a force.

The final contenders match: I see this as Penn v Guillard, and I think that this is going to be a war. Both of them have great striking skills. Penn probably has the best chin in the lightweight division and Guillard definitely has the most power. (both of these are besides Sherk) I have no clue who would win this, but it's be worth watching, even as a main event.
Penn is way too much for Guillard right now...probably what will happen will be Penn vs PUlver and the winner to fight sherk

2. Hermes FRanca
3. Mark Hominick (2-0 in the ufc with wins over Edwards and Gurgel)
4. Jens Pulver (needs atleast one more fight)
5. JOe Lauzon (after beating pulver it put him up there in the ranks)
6. Spencer Fisher (needs to fight some top fighter before moving up)

Let me all know what you think?
joe stevenson and mark hominick should fight for the next title shot IMO hermes is a great fighter but hasnt really fought any one worth mentioning lately jens pulver really needs to redeem himself after his loss to basicly a no body before he should be considered for title contention joe lauzon is that lucky no body that beat jens pulver taking nothing away from him but he hasnt really proven himself to me yet he had a lucky shot on pulver that rocked him and sepncer fisher like you said needs to fight more top rated people before fighting for the title if bj penn did come back my guess is he'd have to fight at least two people before given a title shot again so he wont be in the picture for a while i would love to see hominick take it though ANOTHER CANADIAN TITLE HOLDER

Silly kids and your beginner opinions.
Maybe he just had a bad night? Just because he lost that fight doesn't mean he isn't ready.
It was even a split decision.

If he beats stevenson homonick florian guillard pulver Lauzon well then yeah sure he deserves it....but not now after winning against first time ufc appeareance fighters

I would have to say have the Stevenson vs Hominuck fight for #1 contender. Jens Pulver is not what he used to be and needs to win a couple figts first to be in contention. BJ penn has said that he is not going back to 155 and is out for the welterweight belt so he is out. I think Sherk will be champ for a while until Tyson Griffin wins a couple more fights and takes the belt from him. Tyson is very good and undefeated. Only has one fight in the UFC and dominated, but he has a win over urajah Faber(his only loss) and he is one of the best 145 pounders in the world if not the best.
