Yes Macdoanld did great in his debut but thats only one fight check out all the guys who have beaten Macdoanld Cote, Doreskon, Mahood, Eastman and Shonie Carter to name a few. Im not saying Macdoanlds definantly gonna loose but you seem to have so much confidence fo a guy you proably only saw fight once Split. The fact that he's pn a 4 or 5 fight winning streak dosent nessarilly mean anything both have a decent chance but theres no crowned winner yet. Should make for a good fight regaurdless of the winner.

Leben's good at staying on his feet, and this McDonald guy can only submit him if he can get him to the ground. Leben has pretty good takedown defense, and he's good in the clinch, so I think it'll be hard for McDonald to even get him to the ground. I wouldn't count him out there either, he's not a BJJ black belt but I remember him surprising the hell out of everyone by beating Dewees by armbar.

good thing u put probably in bold

ive hearb a bit more than the UFN fight he was on, a friend of mine was at an event (MFC or something like that) a few months ago, and apparently he finished the fight pretty quick on the ground. I then checked his record and who hes fought, and although there almost all "unknown" fighters, u know hes a veteran ground fighter, and hes been tko'd twice, 1 of them being 200 pounds guy.

Anyways, for those who think leben can survive on the ground, im not saying its impossible, but that guy is solid on the ground. The best leben can do is probably be able to stand back up.

Sure, Leben is very though, and thats the only reason hes still in the ufc. the so called "unorthodox style" is basicly walking forward hands down, and wait to counter with a big one. If Macdonald is smart, he can use his reach(i dont know his arm length, but hes 6 3..) to jab and create that distance.. apparently Macdonald is not bad standing up either, but i havent seen it from my own eyes. I hope the leben fans at least realise hes an underdog.

You know what i hope this fight will be? one where leben is on the bottom, and he gets completly technically controlled by Macdonald, then goes crying about it just like in the first season. Or if gets KO, that would be hilarious, just like against silva.

i give macdonald a 60/40 favorite, because i have to consider "the never give up" to leben, and his striking power.

Yes I agree, I don't have much confidence he will win at all, but it should make for a good fight. I was impressed with his debut and will be rooting for him to win mainly because his a canuck ....and the fact that I'm not really a fan of leben.

God I hope Macdoanld wins its just tough to say since Leben can close his eyes swing and KO with absolutly no technique or talent. Leben annoys me and I really hope Macdoanld finishes him and makes him cry on the shoulder of coture like he did when he lost both times on TUF.

I will agree with you on who he has some losses to, but you're an idiot if you think a 5 fight winning streak means nothing. It means something.
So does 12 fights in 2 years.

this is one of those fights where it could really go either way.

you know leben will try to keep it standing...he has decent take down defense so you've got to give the edge to him in that respect.

on the other hand...mcdonald has the edge on the ground in my opinion...so it really comes down to whether or not mcdonald can take leben down or not.

does anyone know how mcdonald's takedowns are?
