And i don't think he lied about getting hurt by Hughes. The guy will never be a stand up fighter but he did show substantial improvement. Oh, and ricefarmer, that was a real mature come back. "ur the moron looser maybe u should watch it and see bi*ch". That shows that you can inteligently argue your point. Good Job.

And I don't think either one of them was to nice. They BOTH said alota nice things about eachother. I think thier is a mutual respect between to great fighters and I really can't understand why fans of either fighter would talk shit. The two clearly respect eachother and the fans should to. Hughes has been dominant for a long time. Now its GSP's turn. NO excuses for either fighter. GSP won, Hughes lost. Hughes hopes to win in the future, but he even admitted that GSP is the future of the sport. Hughes had a great past but he's no dumby.

I think we are all amused that you can "read" St. Pierre's mind and know exactly what he was thinking.

I think that both fighters have a great deal of respect for each other and a lot of that talk prior to the fight was probably to build up hype.

Was St. Pierre's comment on being dazed by one of Hughes' punches a tactic to make Hughes think that he still has a chance in striking with St. Pierre? Who knows.

Matt has definitely improved his stand-up compared to the past, but his dominance lies in his wrestling. He will need to be more prepared next time if he wants to defeat St. Pierre again (i.e. a game plan).
