Did everyone read Hughes' blog?

The Official Website of UFC Welterweight Fighter Matt Hughes

"First off, I'd like to say that Georges fought a heck of a fight. He's a nice guy and a well-rounded fighter and he's going to be tough to beat.
Number two, I'd like to thank everybody for all their support and I've already talked to the UFC about getting a rematch sometime and they said that's fine. I don't know when that will be or if I will fight anyone before that, but I anxiously await a rematch with Georges because I just think I can do so much better.
Going into the fight I felt very confident. Even up to the point where I lost, I really felt God was going to have me win that fight, but it wasn't His plan. I always pray that God's will is done before a fight and, as long as that's done, I'm happy and I'll definitely fight again. Even with a loss, I can't be anything but thankful for all that God has done in my life.
For those who might be worried about me, I'm fine. I've got some color to my face - a black eye and a few scabs and bruises; but this is not one of those things where I have to go out and 'redeem myself' so I can look myself in the mirror. I just got beat by a guy who was better than me that night and I can live with that. So, physically and mentally, I'm fine. -Matt"

I didn't read that blog yet, he sounds humble but what really can you say after a loss like that.

Wasn't expecting a response like that to be honest. I was expecting a lot of excuses. Glad he could be a man about it

I agree, I think that's the most humble words I ever heard coming from Matt Hughes and as I stated in a previous thread that he needed to lose to GSP in order to be brought back to reality and realize that he can lose just like any other fighter on any given night...kudos to Matt Hughes for at least giving the impression of a professional.

You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

matt is a hell of a figher...

I notuiced he has become a little more cocky in the recent months but I think of half of it is him being an arrogant ****, and the other half is him being playful, but I think this fight not only humbled him but also made him wake up and realize that people are out there that aer as good if not better than him.

I always like Hughes, I lost a bit of respect for him lately, but the way he has handled this defeat has made mae gain some respect for him again...

cant deny that he is a good fighter though.

glad to hear he wants God's will and not necessarily his own, he would obviously like to win but knows God's will is more important
