There is definately something strange going on. Mike Golberg said during the UFC broadcast that Cro Cop was returning at UFC 99. Yet no mention on the website, and to me if you have a show in a new market you havent sold out, if Cro Cop is fighting it might be an idea to announce it.

And if Duffee is fighting Al-Turk why did their fight (which was up on UFC.com) get removed?

Dana said on his Twitterblog there is 'tonnes of crazy news' coming on Monday... Hopefully something about CC.

I feel good. I feel like I've got the tools and the know-how and the skill to deal with him and beat him," he said. "You know, I've got a good stand-up game - probably not as good as his - and I've got a good ground game. I'm a good wrestler.

"My jiu-jitsu's good. I've got a good chance and I believe in myself, that's the most important thing. It's only three and a half weeks away. It is quite short notice, but hey, you know, I'm stepping up and I'm going to take it to him

"With respect to Cro Cop, he's a southpaw, so I'll have to cater for that, really. So mainly working against a southpaw, moving to the left, that kind of thing."

"We've had to change all the training. It is quite short notice, and it is a steep learning curve to change my game. I've been working eleven weeks to deal with Todd Duffee, but that's changed now and true intelligence is adaptation to environment, so if I can adapt to my environment I can demonstrate true intelligence."
Thats from bloodyelbow and its Al Turk confirming the fight. Its happening guys... no ifs and buts about it.

Yes, I think he can make a come back. I doubt he will ever get the UFC belt, but I'd like to see him work his way up to it.

They could have a triple threat match between Couture, Nog, and Crocop.

I think if he trains properly he could be a top 10 HW; but I don't see him being mentioned as a top HW again.

Anything is possible but I see to many things working against him. Age catches up to everybody at a different rate. I think it has caught up to Cro Cop. The octagon doesn't suit his style and I just don't see CC rounding out his skills enough. Gabe mauled him on the ground. Can you imagine what Lesnar or Carwin or Mir would do?

Some people seem to underestimate Al-Turk. Just watch some Cage Rage and you'll see how deadly he is.

I still have faith in good ole crocop. He needs to get back on track and start handing out kicks like he did in pride. I think he still has all the talent, he is just trigger shy.

^^ agreed... he's been gun shy.. that's all.. Though It'd be nice to see him use his hands more to the point that his opponents will even think to be more cautious of his hands. Than out of no where Bam!!! high left kick!! Crocop please come back!!!

He also never fought anyone even close to mid-level UFC caliber in Cage Rage. And while Crocop hasn't looked very good in the UFC, I don't see Al-Turk doing much to him. He has poorer striking and poorer grappling, is smaller.

He has the hairiness advantage, I'll give him that.
