Can Cro Cop Really Make a Comeback??

What do you guys think? Is he geting too old has he lost the mental edge and will to fight?? Has he really cleaned up his act and starting training his hands insted of relying on his kicks? He has stated that he is using MMA gloves in an octagon rather then a ring with boxing gloves.

Can the Croation return to his former glory?? If Cro Cop ever became UFC Champ I would be so excited. I really hope he wins his UFC 99 fight in devestating fashion. Preferbly by punches but ill take a left high kick

What do you guys think?

I hope he trained how to fight while walking backwards as that seems to be his biggest weakness. It is completely possible, he still has all the power he had before, but he just needs to be ready to face the diversity that UFC offers (HA!), but in reality he needs to practice with wrestlers. Seriously, wrestlers, lots of them and of all types. If he plans on winning more than 1 fight in a row at HW he will need to be ready for when the fight hits the ground, no rings to go under here, your shoulders get forced up against the cage and then things get hard.

I think he has looked scared in his last few fights to be honest.

He doesn't stalk fighters like he used to, I think fighting in the cage has really rattled him and he just doesn't look comfortable.

Having said that, if he mixed up his skills and trained in a cage to get used to it then anything could happen. From a guy who was so so so good for a long time to being really quite terrible recently it's hard to see how he could reverse back to his old self again.

I hope he does, Cro Cop was great to watch in his prime, but I fear his time has long past, hasn't looked good since Eddie Sanchez fight in my opinion even then he was shaky.

If he could resemble half the fighter he was in the Fedor fight I would be very happy.

I am watching all his fights in the UFC again right now an yeah even in the Sanchez fight he does look kinda shakey.

I don't know what the deal is but it was like he wasn't there. I just wish him the best at UFC 99. How cool would it be if he came back??

Imagine Cro Cop vs Gonzaga II it would be so cool if he avenged his loss with the exact same head kick.

I think CroCop can, he has potential of course, but I can't say anything until after the fight. Sure, he beat Hong Man Choi.. but that isn't enough for me to say he's back and at it.

Mustapha Al Turk is a great opponent for him. A great tester, and win or lose we'll get our answers.

Odds aren't great, but I have faith.

He's doing all the right things. He's in great shape, he says he's passionate, and he's working completely on his wrestling and boxing.

No, he is no longer the same explosive fighter he once was. Watch Crocop in 05 and watch him in 08-09. Its sad.

Out of all people I thought you would be one of the last to say that, you are the biggest Shogun fan on the Forum afterall.

It's obvious he is far from his prime. But I still think he can muster up some good wins in the UFC. And if he is back, depending on who holds the title, he could become champion.

I want to see him fight Lesnar. A good Crocop vs. Lesnar would be suprising lee nerve racking if your a fan of either fighter.
