Who should Matt Fight Next!

It is looking like Matt Hughes will get his rematch with GSP! Personally, I would like to see Matt Hughes fight someone else before GSP! Before GSP could get his rematch with Matt, he had to go through Frank Trigg, Sean Sherk, and BJ Penn! In a way, I think it would be fair if Matt could face just one person before the GSP rematch! If you want Matt to face someone before GSP, who would it be and why?

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

I voted BJ Penn because it would be a nice rubber match, thats what brings in the cash, I don't think Diego should fight Matt because then if he loses it would send him out of the title hunt, he deserves a shot at the belt. then after Diego fights Georges the winner of the Hughes vs. Penn fight should fight the champ, which probably will still be Georges.

BJ and Matt get ready for number 3. After GSP fights Serra and Diego fights Riggs(both win ofcourse) - GSP vs. Diego. The winner of BJ/Matt gets the winner of GSP/Diego.

I voted Diego just b/c he hasnt fought him yet. However a rubber match with B.J. or a second match with Parysian would be more justified b/c Matt now has to start near the bottom of the WWD only because he lost his title and that is typically what happens. Having said that I think any of the two matches (Hughes vs Penn or Hughes vs Karo)would both be wars. Theres an incentive for KAro b/c if he beats Matt then his foot is now in the door for a possible title shot. Penn vs Hughes 3 would be a war b/c both are near the bottom of the WW rankings and would be fighting for bragging rights here as well as a lift in the rankings. Either way this goes we're sure to get our moneys worth!!

Hughes and Karo have yet to fight. They were scheduled to but Karo had to be replaced by Joe Riggs a year ago.

I voted for Penn because Diego vs. Hughes could turn into a lay 'n' gay match. Penn likes to standup, and 9 times out of 10 if he gets taken down he'll eventually just stand back up. I think that's a fun style to match up to Hughes.

I think Diego is good, but I don't think he'd be able to get past Hughes, which would take him out of a run at the title.

I say GSP/Serra, Hughes/Penn, and then GSP/Diego. The winner of the GSP/Diego fight vs. the winner of the Hughes/Penn. (I don't even factor in the possibility of Serra winning, because quite frankly I don't think it is possible )

I agree, I think Matt Serras interview for the fight is gonna be very entertaining, I wanna see what he says his good points are that Georges will have trouble with, haha.

I personally would like to see Hughes vs Karo (very dangerous fight for Hughes) or i would pay some big bucks to watch Hughes beat the living shit out of Diego....

Diego Sanchez. It's way too soon to have yet another rematch with GSP or Penn, and Sanchez is at the top of the bubble with his win over Karo. Plus it would be nice to see Diego get pounded out by a pissed off ex-champ who wants his title back.
